iPhone 4? I'd not kick it out of bed

I'm scared to say my new phone because Sad and I have history with phones and I don't want to start jinxing our natural allegiance Put it this way my phone is the same as a mutual pixie

So I have sexy new phone. The ginger has an old phone. I am in constant receipt of texts from him but I just love them so much I'm saving them! Phonics has a lot to answer for

Right now I'd like a new car much more than a new phone. Just had new clutch added to the list of horrors (injectors, cambelt, water pump) - total bill around £1200 - and I need a stiff drink after trying (and failing) to drive the bloody thing home prior to identifying just how bad the clutch was.

I need a lie down in a darkened room with lots of TLC, chocolate and Jack Daniel's Honey, that's what I need

I've just written a very long and dare I say it EXTREMELY entertaining post and somehow I managed to press a shortcut key which sent my laptop into a state of madness and I wiped out my post plus opening all sorts of other pages too in the process. Pure madness! It's one of those days though.

I've got a cold so I'm hoarse and a bit snotty and a tad growly as a result of that. To make matter worse everywhere is shut so I'm also a bit bored. Grrrr - rarrrrr and whiiiiiiiiiiine!

I'm digesting an M & S ginger pud - it was bloody lovely but I shouldn't eat such things at bedtime!

Plums, sorry you feel rotten, and sorry about your disappearing post. Huggles to you ((((((huggle))))))

Mr M has to wait till after the Easter weekend to see how he got on... he felt it went pretty well, so fingers crossed.

Finished my Rennie, so will attempt sleep. G'night all!

Was a panto thingy starring a friend of mine. It's becoming an annual tradition and it's an absolute hoot. Although the journey home wasn't We were fine until we got near the top of the M11, everything after that was horrendous. Jack Daniel's Honey consumed on arrival back home safe and sound, my reward for not losing my nerve when the road vanished

In your dreams, buster
I'll have you know I'm an Essex girl by birth I escaped when I was 5

Plummy.... hugs, just because.

BG - there will be other Easters. And good luck with the slaves... I mean, the lazy gits
Essex girls get a bad name youd think they name their kids after where they were conceived from how the media portrays them

im still yet to meet a cortina or against-wall

It's just a lot of stereotypes and some aspects of british humour are based on taking the mickey out of the stereotypical essex girl, where there only has to be a shred of truth and the story begins... eg. all scousers are thieves but thieves with a sense of humour, the irish are thick (no offence snowy), brummies are thick because of their accent, Londoners are all a bit crafty and dodgy, people from rural areas all chew on straw and are full of country wisdom but are thick apart from that, the scottish are mean (no offence to my late mum) .... and so the list goes on.

I'm trying to do some clearing out and sorting things from when I moved last year which have just sat in boxes but my head spins every time I do anything active. However, at least I've made progress today, I've built a trolley thing of drawers to keep papers and bits and pieces in which has been sitting in it's box waiting to be built since around last October. I'll try again tomorrow to sort through stuff to fill it.

My aim is to get rid of a big cardboard box in the corner of my room that has all sorts of bits and pieces in and throw away what I don't need and find a proper home for those that I do. I need to get rid of it so I can have room for a small comfy chair for when I want to escape from the madding crowd and read in peace. Then all I need to do is save up the money for said small comfy chair

Plum, a Comfy Chair Fund sounds like a brilliant plan!

Been a bit chaotic here today, but sorted now and a pizza evening is in the offing. Hooray!

Ahhh yes, support the CCF !! Marvellous stuff - perhaps I should go rattle a tin in town - take a picture of me sitting on a hard uncomfortable chair with a look of pain and anguish on my face.... Bound to be a winner!!

I did more yesterday than I expected and sorted through a massive pile of letters and documents and filed them away. Now I just have the BIG BOX IN THE CORNER to look at .... it's scarey. For all I know there might be dragons in there! mind you, they'd be small and very hungry unless they live on geckos and bugs. I hope they haven't eaten the twins I've not seen them for a couple of days - I had a pair of tiny gekkos living on my ceiling but they've either been eaten or moved on.

Today I'm off to see if my cheap as chips little LED tv that I ordered on t'internet can fit in my car or that it's not too heavy/awkward for me to lift. If it is too heavy or too big then I'm not sure what I'll do - I'll have to phone a friend or ask the audience

Beautiful day today!

I should have a rotten headache due to cracking open some bubbly at around sixteen hundred hours yesterday, then being too pissed to make supper, but I feel great. The tenant picked up the keys yesterday and loves the place so that's me off ladder duties until I get back from visiting mama week after next. And the weather is still fabulous.

If it weren't for my scary box in the corner - yes, I have one too Plummy - life would be relatively stress free right now.

I hope batman made you some nosh.

In other news. I received a parcel delivery from the Royal Mail, which had nothing inside it at all, sent by an Amazon Marketplace trader, packaged inside an 'Our Sincere Apologies' blah blah RM wrapper. So, I've messaged the sender and hopefully will get a no quibbles refund or the item resent, rather than jumping through loads of hoops to claim via the Royal Mail, who will no doubt not find it anyway. It's the first time I've had any problems with an Amazon Marketplace trader and/or Royal Mail, other than the occasional DVD which wont play.

No snowy here (excuse the pun), but pretty nippy though.

My best friend from just north of London has his family over and his sister is over from East Anglia with her husband, plus his mum and dad.

Day indoors for the Melons:
Tidying the kitchen, marking Music BTEC folders and helping Melony decorate blown eggs for Easter (me)
Working on a sample Briefing Note for an interview in case the last one dosn't work out (we'll know on Tuesday, hopefully) and occupying Melony while I tidy and mark (Mr M)
Slobbing around watching loads of telly and deorating eggs (Melony)
Scoffing Hot Cross Buns (all of us).

Life could be worse...

Happy Easter to the GOWs

You both ok now hangover wise. It is after all Easter. That's a good enough excuse for me.
