I forgot to vote for Plummy's loveliness. *sticks hand up* I think the above sounds a bit rude. An unfinished rude sentence... |

I think the above sounds a bit rude. An unfinished rude sentence... It's all getting a bit "Carry On Grumps" round here isn't it ... and we all know who to blame ...... *points the finger of suspicion at jra* ![]() Good morning Batty! You're up early again, up with the larks, or up for a lark? I've been a domestic goddess and am now thoroughly pooped! I came straight home from work after doing the weekly shopping, swept out the entire house and mopped all the floors, collected YoungPlumerooni from vacation care and am now on my second load of washing. I never do this much, I must be ill again .... actually it's more to do with, the more I do today, the more I can slob around this weekend - woop woop! |

I'm always up for a lark!
![]() I hate getting up early but love it once I'm up, if that makes sense. Normally I don't have the willpower but the last few weeks have been manic and I couldn't have managed without 5am starts. I've now moved to a leisurely 6am because the pressure's off. ![]() It's the being away bit - I'm gone all next week - that really buggers up my everything. If I don't get ahead now I'll be stressing next week and I've enough of that visitng ma, who currently doesn't remember that she has a daughter but is of the opinion that IF she has and IF I'm that daughter, then I'm a very bad one for all kinds of reasons, one being that I'm TROUBLE. Just general, free-floating TROUBLE. And always have been. Not that she remembers who I am... Visiting should be interesting.

Well, if you are her daughter and therefore you are TROUBLE, then embrace your new found name and the licence for mischief that it grants you, my middle name is TROUBLE apparently, it doesn't appear on my birth certificate though so I'm not sure that's true
Maybe you should get a name badge done ![]() Seriously though, I hope the trip goes well. As I've mentioned a long time ago, my Nana had alzheimer's and if my Dad hadn't laughed at some of her "memories" he would have cried. Despite living with us for several years before she passed away, she generally forgot that my Dad was her son, she remembered the other two but not him! Anyway, keep your chin up, and your sense of humour on full alert! Ooooh and send me a postcard if you get time because I've never had one from Poland! I'm so demanding at times! jra - make a note, I'm demanding at times

Yeah hope it goes well Bats - hopefully you'll be her confidant and she can just tell you about how awful *that* daughter is... if that makes sense
![]() Sad - but as our procrastination twin (triplet?!) you also know that you'll pull it out of the bag in the end. I think this is what makes me worse, I know that I'll be able to wing it eventually... though I do wonder if this is the moment it all goes tits up and it'll be like the scene in the Wizard of Oz when everyone realises I'm a bit of a fraud and generally just guess at stuff

KJ & jra, sitting in a tree....
![]() I think I'm whoever Hattie Jacques is playing this week ![]() I've had a virtuous day, lots of cleaning and dusting. Mr Sad has just helpfully emptied the dyson full of dog hair for me. Unfortunately, ignoring my pleas to tip it straight into the wheelie bin. I now have to re-vacuum the kitchen Men

I guess, I've always been a bit smutty.
What do you do when you see an old bag. Hand it in, as in lost property, or go up and talk to her. ![]() Sad, I'm sacred of heights anyway. ![]() That gag reminds me of my dad having to do a public announcement at a conference we were running at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool in the late 80s. We had a massive black handbag handed in. So there he was: "Lost property announcement... we have a large black ladies handbag... er, I mean, we have a large lady's black handbag... er, I mean, we have a large handbag. Which is black, and probably a lady's..." The assembled crowd found it amusing just watching him squirm...he made me do all the announcements after that

I'm almost a fair dinkum ozzie sheila these days, so it's doona talk not duvet talk
Good lord, I've missed some smut and burning rings of fire - it's all been happening here! I had a lie in this morning, first time in ages, I didn't get up til nearly nine! I've been chatting since then with my friend/landlady who just got back from Sydney this morning - pair of gasbags! Trouble is it means you lot will probably have gone to bed and so I'll have missed my bit of interaction .... and I like a bit of interaction @ jra ![]() All is fine here, going to have a mega-lazy weekend. I might sort out my tv and see if I can get a signal and watch some for the first time in god knows how many months. I'm also totally behind in movies that have come out in the last few years so I reckon I have a lot to catch up on, if I ever get time/peace to do that. Hope your feeling better Handy. Sad, I loved the story about the large black ladies handbag - the english language is a wonderful thing!
