Dear Sirs

Re your failure to perform to contract as of the 19th inst. I wish to complain in the strongest possible terms. As a mother and regular user of your service, through necessity, I was sorely vexed and egregiously treated by your failure to provide a charabanc or equivalent form of carriage.Have you no shame sirs?

Yours ect ect.

As a compromise, you could buy (if you haven't already) the New Gold Dream CD from zoverstocks.

Morning all

Hope everyone is well and happy! I had a moderately pleasant day at work - Mischief was my middle name today but I made a lot of people laugh including customers so all was good

When I came home, the postman had been and I got my postcard from Warszawa, Polska! .... and Batty so I'm very happy! Incidentally the "little one" giggled as she pointed out that she is nearly as tall as me Bloody string bean of a girl !

Apart from that, all is peaceful, I'm looking forward to a day off on Thursday as it's ANZAC day, but it will have to be a quiet day as just about everything closes for business.

80s memory trip there, jra!
I liked Japan - though I preferred Tin Drum as an album, I think.

No day off for me for a bit, but all my BTEC Music marks have been verified so that's good - first time I've taught the course so I was a bit anxious about my judgement calls. Glad I was right!

Last night was fab. Sorry SnoWy Am off to see them at Newmarket in June too tickets were still available recently if that's any good?

Handy - big Ofsteddy hugs to you and well done on the BTEC Music, another string to your bow (no pun intended)

Chuffed to bits with a pm I got today which has cheered me up a little ... I have friends going through hell today, however, so any vibes any of you could point in this general direction for me to redirect their way would be hugely appreciated.

The sunshine is definitely helping too - glorious to see the leaves finally coming out as well

Amazon are selling Quiet Life for £3-77 brand new, cheaper than buying it from a Marketplace trader, so I snagged a copy. Not a bad price, considering it is a niche and cult album.

IMO, they don't make music like that nowadays. I feel old though, as Quiet Life was made over 30 years ago and I was 18 at the time.

Did someone mention trains? I paid £165 yesterday for a day return to London. Daylight robbery. I normally drive but I was going to South London and thought I'd maybe get some work done if I trained it instead. Grrrr @ the price. It's hardly encouraging people to be *green*.

No doubt, that would be me, somewhere along the line.

And you are right. Train fares these days are often extortionate.

You have to book in advance these days to get anything resembling a good deal and I would recommend signing up to the TOCs you use, as sometimes they offer special deals.

Also, see the moneysavingexpert link, for things like split ticketing.

Even taking advantage of things like easements may save you money.

Thanks jra.

As those who know me well will tell you, I'm absolutely crap around forward planning. I actually surprised myself by booking, online, the day before.

Which reminds me - I think I'm flying off to Warsaw next week. It's apparently going to be 34 degrees. Eek.

Hello there jra Time differences are the bane of my life .... well they're not really but they can be pain in the posterior!

Thanks jra.

You're a gadabout batty! I wish I went to South London ... but for more than a day Mind you, a couple of weeks of being cold and I'll be crying out to get back over here! It's coming into winter soon and my favourite time of year! The nights are already much more pleasant, daytime still gets stinking hot sometimes - around 30c most days, so it has cooled somewhat!

I've had an awkward day where nothing exactly was wrong but nothing went quite right, everything required extra effort to get done! Tomorrow is a public holiday though so I'm going to be a slob and skiddle around on t'internet and do as little as I can get away with all day - that's my plan! I shall call it Plan S ... Plan A is soooooo last year dahhhhhhlings

Thanks

Have known 'em over thirty years now - they recently celebrated their Pearl Wedding anniversary (married young... that makes them sound terribly old!!!) - and I was at that wedding. So they're a very special couple, not least because everyone else I knew around the same period got divorced a few years down the line. (Myself included )

He's very poorly and she's distraught, and I have that horrible gaaaaah wanttodosomethingbutcan't feeling. Vibes is all.
