Ooh, lucky you!

Busy bees here this week and next, but it should all calm down after that. Mind you, I've said that before...

Morning!!! 9000000 things to do!

I'd rather be on a beach. Or up a mountain. Or in Paris.

Congratulations!

My mountain of work is not getting any smaller and I'm starting to feel all stressy and horrible.

So it's a toss up - have a word with myself about being a responsible adult and crack on, or say sod this, I'm mostly dealing with other people's stuff, and I've had enough so I'm going to the cinema.

Congratulations SadPeeps!

When doing laundry, my motto is "no sock left behind". So I was annoyed when I found an odd grey sock that hadn't gone in the wash and resolved to find its partner when it came out of the tumble dryer. I paired the others up but no grey sock had emerged from the tumble dryer! Investigation revealed that it had escaped between washing machine and tumble dryer.

Out of all the socks, how did that lonely grey one know it had to escape to meet up with its lost partner?

Has anybody noticed that often a new post you make appears as the first post on the next page, or is that just me.

Happy versianniry...

Busy as all hell here. Shows to organise, rehearsals to run, and a life to have in between it all.
Roll on the end of next week when it's all done bar the paperwork bits!

Batty - cinema. DEFINITELY cinema.

*waves to LL* Hope your day wasn't THAT horrible but glad to hear it's getting better.

My day was unproductive... it's been a mad week though. Next week's looking interesting too. But the sun has been out so everything is wonderful.

Happy weekend Grumpers

Went to the local downs a couple of days ago.

The council have put up an information board, describing the history of the area.

I was surprised by the number of butterflies around, especially this one.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gonepteryx_rhamni

Also, saw a small tortoiseshell.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small_Tortoiseshell

Plus quite a few small/large whites.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pieridae

There are also supposed to some species of blue butterfly there, but I didn't see any on this occasion. I've seen some in Devon.

For example. Adonis blue.

Plus. Marbled White. Red Admiral. Large Tortoiseshell. Speckled Wood. Gatekeeper. Green-veined white. Meadow Brown. Small Copper. etc.

Butterflies are so gorgeous.

Hi LL. I didn't make it to the cinema in the end. Too much to sort out and not enough time. Maybe next week... More importantly, I hope you're feeling better.

Butterflies are so gorgeous.
They are indeed.

Another one.

Orange Tip.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthocharis_cardamines

I've yet to see a Swallowtail or Camberwell Beauty outside of a wildlife centre.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...apilionidae%29

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camberwell_Beauty

I'll stop now, in case this turns into 'The Butterfly Thread'.

But, really, I do find them beautiful and fascinating insects.

We get big, fat yellow butterflies in our garden.

And speaking of the garden - it's our Big Task for Today to start knocking it into shape. It's a little jungle out there but we've made a start, although I can sense the troops (me, Batman and the boy ) are starting to lose focus a little. Beer has been mentioned. So have chips.

Oh, and where's our Plumster? She was a bit down in the dumps, wasn't she? *waves to Plummy just in case she can see all the way from Down Under*

I've got to ask. Why were you there for only 10 minutes.

We get big, fat yellow butterflies in our garden.
Dad has got a Buddleia tree in his garden and it attracts the Tortoiseshells and Red Admirals.
