Stunning day here too!
We're going to have a Drivethrough Maccy D's picnic and a walk. And quite possibly and ice-cream, because in this weather it's rude not to! Happy sunny Bank Holiday, grumpies! ![]() (Plummie, are you out there?) |

Morning/evening all
Sorry I've been MIA - just been so tired. I ended up working heaps last week, long days every day. Payday this week will be good and means I'll have money saved for some upcoming bills. You have to renew your drivers licence here regularly, maximum length is 5 years and that costs the equivalent of abou £80. Outrageous I call it! Downside to last week's work is that I didn't get a weekend as such and now I'm totally knackered and have caught a stinking rotten cold, to the extent that I just couldn't have worked any extra hours today just did my basic 4 hours, think I'll do the same tomorrow. I can't afford to take time off but I'm going to try and restrict my hours for a few days while I try and shake this off. Anyway, I'm off to bed now will try and catch up properly with the thread soon. Batty, you are angel, thankyou for the "tiny little thingy", it's beautiful and it really made my day on Friday when it arrived! We're going to test it's good-luckitiosity on Wednesday and buy a lottery ticket whilst wearing it! Hope everyone is well and happy! .... and Go Young Melony and her social whirl - life is one big party at that age!

Plum FTW!
I'm home alone this evening. Big DIY curry - onions and broccoli so check the weather report, it may be windy darn sarf. I also have a date expired packet of bacon bits (not mine!) but given the animal has already died, it's vegetarian to use them up. Balti == bucket. Hull Peterborough Palace. What a malarkey Saturday was. |

Mr M didn't know whether to cry or cheer! ![]() Tonight's menu at melon Towers is Waitrose posh burgers, stuffed mushrooms and Mediterranean veggies, to accompany an episode of Endeavour. Hooray! Plummie, am sending you eucalyptic and menthol vibes - hope you feel better soon! ((((((huggles and tissues)))))) |

I'm so glad you got the little thingy Plum.
I'm not sure it's a lottery winning strength one, though. More of a generally making things a bit luckier variety.

Vibes are always good
![]() Happy nearly Hump Day grumpies. So far gone I'm meeting myself coming back. It's good to be busy, just hope I get paid ![]() Plummy - wise move to ease off, no point in making yourself proper poorly. Not great news concerning the friends I mentioned previously. Life's cr*p sometimes. Will know more next week but think it's going to be a question of months, which is almost too awful to contemplate right now. Sorry if I'm not around much - not feeling very chatty. Big hugs to everyone that wants 'em.

![]() I'm still full of the lurgey and being a general health hazard at work. I suggested to the asst manager that maybe I could take the day off (bearing in mind I don't get paid if I don't work) but he positvely begged me not to, and said in an attempt to charm me that even if I worked at half capacity I'd be twice as good as a lot of his workers! Flattery works because so did I - albeit a shorter day than he'd wanted me to! As one of my co-workers said sympathetically "suck it up princess" when I was whining at one point Nothing else is happening here, working, coughing and sneezing and sleeping intermittently ..... oh and whining

Sounds like a busy schedule Plum.
![]() I've spoken to dozens of people on the phone today, have written 2 longish letters and sent several emails (some in Polish) and I've achieved precisely nothing. Well, I could count an automated out of office reply as a triumph, given the slim pickings, but I can't kid myself. And as far as my own work goes, also a big fat zero. And it started raining mid afternoon. Thank Bacchus it's half past PG. |

Poor batty!
![]() Never mind, tomorrow's another day, eh? Plum, sending hugs and tissues your way We've had rain tonight - first time in weeks. And it's cool, too; got my leggings back on under my skirt! Mr M has been out to buy shirts for the start day of his New Job on Monday, and tomorrow id off to buy trousers. he's also going to see Iron Man 3 (jammy git! - but I'll allow him to go without me cos he's going to be the full-time breadwinner for the next two years and I'll get some time between supply stints!) And the cat has sneaked into the spare room and gone to sleep on the clen bedding, which I would have minded less if I hadn't treated her for fleas this evening.... Grrrrrrrr! I'm off to get her out of there before mr M comes out of the shower and over-reacts
