I can't get it back to the garage until Wednesday (date of expiry of current MOT) and have a lot of miles to do in between now and then.
The reaction I got when I complained about having to bring it back was 'well, we didn't realise you needed it done today'. Why would ANYONE choose to have to go back a second day? It's not rocket science - either they took on too much for the day, in which case had they said so up front I'd have rescheduled the whole thing, or they simply didn't plan the work sensibly - ten year old car, wanting service and MOT, might be a plan to get it done first thing in case we need to order parts... let alone fit the bloomin' things. Grrrrrrrrrr.
