Liking your thinking there snowbes, wonder if Batty's had Words yet or not....

Today, I have mostly been falling out with garages (again) and baking. Because when the going gets tough, the tough get baking. Even when it's baking hot outside. Oh, and working, too. Multi-tasking goddess, me.

I like your thinking

I'm trying to motivate myself to start getting ready for work but I'm not in the mood, I haven't been all week and I blame YoungPlum! This week she only has a 3 day week, one of which was the all day sports carnival on Tuesday, today she has a pupil-free day from school and tomorrow is a public holiday.... yet in this same week of fun and rest for her, I have a six day week and work til Saturday evening - boo hisssssss! But we musn't gwumble! ..... oh YES WE MUST!!!!

I better get her up I suppose so that she can enjoy her day of nothingness .... grrr.

PS I want to go to London - wahhhhhhhhhhhh. I like the boat trip down the Thames .... wahhhhhhhhhh....

*stomps off muttering*

I like snOwy's thinking too. But I only had my Kindle on me. If only there was an app...

Actually, he got off at the next station so the rest of the journey was fine... well, apart from the delays. Anyway, I'm very pleased to be back in my garden office today.

Sad - I can't believe you're baking in this weather!

Plummy - hope you got yourself re-motivated. Think about the money!

I managed to get to work but remained unmotivated and unhappy about it all day I feel considerably more motivated about tomorrow as although it's only 4 hours, it's at double time and a half - whoop whoop! I'm so looking forward to Sunday though, it's not worth calling it "the weekend"

So more thinking about the money our Plummy.

I'm thinking about being a domestic goddess, if the heat will allow. I've been bouncing between being busy, away, and *generally can't be arsed*, so the house is starting to look like a bombsite and it would be very nice if it didn't. Oh, for a magic wand...

Also, to share Sad's car grrrrs - mine's been with the mechanic for a while so I'm going to get my bike out and cycle to Tesco. Good job I stocked up on the PG a while back!

Today was merde-y - if you'll pardon my French Tomorrow is likely to be equally so, or perhaps doubly so, as it's an eight hour shift tomorrow. I'm a bit fed up with a few issues at work and feel on the brink of venting which will do no good so I'm biting my tongue.... it hurts! What I really need is a week off which is never going to happen because I don't get any holiday. Poor little me .... oh woe!! self pity is a dreadful thing.... but knowing that isn't going to stop me having a bit of a pity party .... cocktail sausage anyone?

We watched Les Mis this evening, I had to move the tv outside so we could watch it as DP was misbehaving so it was a bit weird. Enjoyed the film, Hugh Jackman - phwooaaarrr - I think on balance I still prefer the stage show but purely because of the atmosphere at the theatre.

Hope you all have a good weekend!

I went to the pub for lunch with MrsKJ and MsKJ 'cos the latter has just returned from the USofA.

Grump is that I had to finish off work and it's been a long afternoon.

Don't tell those two, I'm doing a "jra", but I saw a vision in the pub sunshine.

House clearance today (not my house) and what a shit hole it was.

The whole place needs redecoration.

The two of us put out various furniture, mostly beds and mattresses for collection by the council on Monday, but the people working in the restaurant next door weren't happy with where we had put things, so we had to phone the owner, who was happy with the situation.

Both the restaurant and adjoining house we cleared stank so badly we nearly heaved.

The fridge we moved out probably contains an alien life form. The cooker was so dirty, you wouldn't believe it.

Then there was the washing machine. When we disconnected it, there was a water leak (initially) and we couldn't turn it off until we found the mains riser, plus the piping from a radiator started leaking.

All and all, a bit of a nightmare.

4 people (2 guys and 2 women) living in a cesspit, that have now absconded, owning the landlord money.

Judging by the amount of personal information left behind, we might be able to trace them, but getting any money owed back is a different story.

Then there was the blue glove with brown stains on it. I daren't ask what that was about. And a 2 litre coke bottle filled with piss.

Put it this way, both of us wore gloves, for health and safety reasons.

Sounds like what I'm going to be faced with when I have to clean up after the four students who have recently deserted my daughter's shared student house... That's a job I'm not looking forward to. The two remaining tenants (madam, and her one remaining housemate) have assured me they will start cleaning it... I am not convinced. This is a girl whose bedroom carpet is rarely visible.

TFIF, indeed. Loving the weather, bit fed up about the cloud they're forecasting for tomorrow. Did they know it was my niece's birthday BBQ?

The house I'm talking about would definitely be a candidate for TV programmes like Grime Busters.

On the positive side, we saw some very attractive ladies wearing next to nothing.

This mate of mine seems to know virtually everybody around here. Maybe, he can introduce me to a hot lady, especially as one person kindly pointed out to me on DS, I'm permanently on heat these days, which tbh is a statement of truth.

What's doing a jra anyway.

jra - methinks KJ has been admiring the ladies too - hence 'doing a jra' in commenting on visions of loveliness.

Personally I love watching programmes like Grime Busters and the programmes about hoarders - makes me feel we're not so bad after all

I see Sad, regarding the ladies. I can't help looking at beautiful women.

Regarding the house we went to today, we saw a rat and there were flies everywhere.

Apparently, I'm required to go back there this afternoon. I'm really looking forward to that.

I like those programmes too for exactly the same reason

I'm tuckered out now. Nine hours at work working flat out the whole time because we were short-staffed and there was a HUGE delivery. We got it all done with 5 minutes to spare, much cursing was done about lazy-arse other people but generally having had a fairly miserable day, I came away feeling quite pleased with myself. No rest for the wicked though as it was straight home at 6 to do some tidying up, put a load of washing on and start dinner. I'm so looking forward to my day off tomorrow!

We might watch another movie al fresco this evening if I can be bothered to move the tv again.

I am home alone (with DestructoPig). MrsKJ and MsKJ are out to see a Scottish play.

I have been issued with a Waitrose curry including rice. The surprising, nay, truly amazing thing is that I don't have to cook the two separately ... just chuck some water on the rice 'halfway through' ... and Waitrose trust my ability to divide by two!

Were I say 35-40 years younger I'd have taken "the vision" out tonight .. thanks Sad for explaining to jra

So, after an unexpected round trip to the daughter this evening, following a productive start to the day... ask me how p*ssed off I am on a scale of one to exceedingly

On the plus side, there's always tomorrow, I suppose
