Today I are mostly being a little bit livid, slightly irate, a little bit mad and angry, somewhat full of rage ... and ire ... and a bit grumpy to boot! Work sucks the big one! I'm over it.
Apart from that, all is good

Apart from that, all is good ![]() I'm on hold, listening to Vivaldi that keeps being interrupted by a slightly nasal voice informing me of my place in the queue. Grrrrr.... |

Spent the weekend lurking owing to not being able to get at my laptop for recreational purposes!
Plummie, if you're as cross as that it must be really horrible (((((((((huggles))))))))) I'm doing my job-search log like a good little girl! *halo*

We're just back from transporting madam back to her student digs for another year.
Sigh .... ![]() I am now fumigating her bedroom. Honestly, she's hardly been home at all but it looks as though we've been invaded by aliens

I stepped out in the road today and wasn't being observant enough, so was nearly hit by a car at speed, but luckily the driver stopped in time. Otherwise, I'd now be in the local hospital with very serious injuries. Talk about a wake up call, as I'm usually very careful when crossing the road.

Sad - I share your pain and the same time awaits me soon. Best dig out the biohazard suit. Raining here, but I need to venture out soon. I'm missing the summer already. |

Sad, I'm sure it's mixed feelings
![]() Hope you didn't find anything nasty lurking in there! jra, you watch yourself, chuck! ![]() Here it's cool and blowy and I'm back in leggings - joy! ![]() I'm much more comfy with my legs covered up, partly owing to my total inability to tan and partly to my advancing age which means I have a beautiful range of thread veins and 'orrible squiggly patterns on my fish-belly white legs. Hoorah for opaques, leggings and my trusty jeans, says I! I'm doing paperwork now and trying to summon up the enthusiasm to sort out the junk in the spare room so the plumber can get in there on Thursday to look at the central heating. Bleh!

Good luck handy!
![]() I have a small problem in that Mini Cheddar, the hedgehog, has taken to sitting under the car. It's good that we know about it now, obviously, but it takes absolutely ages to coax him out (peanuts I have in for the bird feeder seem to be a favourite), so I've two choices - leave myself plenty of time before I need to set off... or stop parking in the driveway. |

Anybody here got a tablet?
I snagged this one the other day. http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mob...lourCode=BLACK Not a bad price, when people are paying up to £500 for the latest iPhone. |

BG, maybe you could make or even buy a house for MC ... our hedgehog lived under the shed, if they're anything like guinea pigs they just want to have a roof to feel safe from predators
A length of pipe, a slab on bricks, ... jra - I've got a Kindle and my son's old iPad, and I must say for me the Kindle is the best thing ever invented. It's just the right size for a handbag and it has everything I need. And I love it.

Today I built a pine bed for the office (aka back bedroom) and made a "3D bed jigsaw" with the old skanky bed (sawing it to bits in the garden so it can go down the dump)
TBH doing something practical isn't my forté but let's hope it doesn't collapse when I use it after the pub. I did enjoy today though. My neighbours are alright, so in whose garden do I dump the mattress?

*yawn* I'm up at 4.45 this morning for a 6,00 am start at work, how uncivilised is that. It's dark and quiet ..... and very strange! This is the time I often wake up and think thank god I've got another hour and a half or so to sleep.... it's ungodly that's what it is!
I've got to find my clever head today and tomorrow (early start again tomorrow) as I'm learning new stuff. Only problem is my brain is like porridge and has been for the last couple of weeks due to overwork. I think the strain of the last couple of years or so has finally caught up with me and i'm just banjaxed! In about 4 weeks time I might be able to take a couple of days off - woop woop! Hope everyone is having a good day! PS On the subject of tablets, I want an iPad.... but it's not going to happen any time soon. I know other tablets are better value, but for once I want something up to date and moderately cool. However, finances say that the closest to a tablet I'm getting any time soon is a paracetomol
