No I'm not thank goodness but have shingles and whooping cough into the mix, sorry to hear about your pain hope it's short lived. Has bats and friend gone to Warsaw?

Poor Laura, whooping cough is horrible!

I'm sending some extra get-well vibes to go with snowy's - and some for snowy too! ~~~~~~>>>

I think batty may well be in Polska, yes -she said she was getting a plane a day or two ago, didn't she?

I've been swimming with Melony this evening after school, which was good fun but has meant I'm knackered!

It's a complicated thing these days, tooth fairying.

She came home from school chattering away about people in her class who had letters from the tooth fairy, found pixie dust on the pillow, etc, etc, etc.

In my day we got 10p and lumped it...

Anyway. Letter done. Glitter added. And a couple of Gold Coins. Fluttering off to bed now!

Hope the letter pointed out that the coinage dwindles after the First Tooth, HM

And we're back... despite Batty's best efforts to get us arrested by a 'not bad looking' policeman .... and my own personal 'D'oh' moment on trying to get 4 bottles of vodka through security as cabin baggage

Crikey, we're back here at the same time!

Yes, what a trip. After we discussed his good looks 'behind his back', it turned out that the police chap spoke English. But at least it broke the ice!

LL - you poor, poor thing. A shedload of vibes on their way. (((LL)))

handy - awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Too cute.

I'm back too, after two days in Athens with work. The night I arrived we were up until one in the morning, we did ouzo and raki and beer in between so >ouch<

@Sad, what are you like?

'cos it was 2 days, it's not worth taking hold baggage, but 'cos it was work, I had to lug my (actually quite dinky but heavy) laptop and charger.

Me and MrsKJ are kicking ourselves, she should have flown out for the weekend, .... or you two should have done the GOW Europe 2013 tour

Oh yes, that's definitely worth a thought, though I have to say that Sad and I are pretty hardcore when it comes to partying. I picked her up from the airport at almost midnight and we didn't get to bed until 4am*. I'm sure MrsKJ is well able to keep up, though.

*This account completely glosses over the fact that we stayed in with a couple of bottles of rose and some melon (yes, handy, melon) vodka.

Welcome back, oh travellers from afar!
Glad you got here in one piece!

Today I was supposed to wash up the pots, clean the kitchen floor, update my jobsearch details and write the Further Details section for a job application for a maternity cover as a Drama teacher.

What have I actually done?
Taken M out for a haircut and to spend her Gold Coins on some coloured clip-in hair pieces (red, green, purple and blue - with bows at the top!), bought fish and chips on the way home, hung up one load of washing, taken M out on a bramble-picking excursion, made a bramble and apple crumble (with M's help), stoned 15 plums in preparation for making plums in spiced red wine and shared a slice of chocolate cake with Mr M.

Hmmm.

I may need to examine my proirities...

Batty, you're a rotten influence!
I've done the pots and the kitchen floor, so time to start the paperwork, I guess. Bleah!

Aw Been there, doing that

What you need is a trip to Warsaw, an encounter with the Polish police force and a slightly insane photographer, and vodka. And cake, obviously

So, back to the grindstone this morning. If I could only wake up properly

Don't forget to put the kettle on and make sure you've got a good supply of biscuits. There's nothing worse than getting stuck into paperwork and then, when it's break time 5 or 10 minutes later, having to go to the shops to stock up. That kind of lack of planning can result in impromptu buying of shoes and handbags. I speak from bitter experience.

We have meeces! One was captured while I was away, today one was captured in broad daylight; MrsKJ heard the trap go. Both were released

They are cute field mice that get in when we have the back door open in the summer or via the tumble dryer vent as far as we can tell.
