First she hooks up with jack then she rejects phi then she befriends tanya and worst of all she becomes an addict.
Can she be saved or is this the end of walfords princesses

I do not think she has been ruined, that is more Kat. She can easily be saved.
I do not mind she is an addict so far it has been pretty realistic and I think understandable. But yes she would do better away from Jack and with Phil. As for Tanya she is going on a long break so wont be a issue soon. And I suspect the upcoming spoiler with Phil will start innocently enough but end up with the player Jack getting played.

I have no issue with Sharon becoming friends with Tanya I just don't like the way it was done so quickly.

I don't like Sharon with Jack full-stop as it feels like they are trying to recreate Jack and Ronnie. They need to drop the tragic heroine crap with Sharon full stop and revisit her characterisation from the mid 90s when the character was at her absolute peak. I can't believe John Yorke is satisfied with the current version of Sharon he was involved in storylining the Sharon/Grant stuff of the mid 90s, he brought Sharon back strong in 2001-2002 and when he took over the show in 2005 Sharon suddenly improved after an abysmal two years 2003-2004.

People are overacting. She has only been back 2 months. Her painkiller story is a slowburner and we all know that she has plenty of scenes with Phil coming up.

Of course she's going to be involved in scenes with the Brannings when half the Square is one.

Ian has been offscreen for a month which hasn't helped. The best is yet to come, she's still settling in.

Do people even understand the definition of 'ruined'? When you're ruined there's no way back. How could Sharon possibly have been ruined just because she's not been given a proper story? And anybody can become addicted to prescription drugs.

I knew that this would be the way it went. I said it even before her return was announced and got met with all this 'she needs time' blah blah.

She just doesn't fit in with the current cast at all. The show clearly just dragged her back to keep a connection to the past alive after so many longstanding characters departed, and I think it's just too much weight on the shoulders of one character. Even her day to day stories are boring and lame. She should have not returned at this stage as I don't think the writing is up to scratch. I'm not saying Sharon as a character is redundant, but the way she has been written just makes no sense and is really disjointed and lame.

Her desperation to know her son's every move has not been written well, her 'addiction' issue hasn't worked for me, I just cringed when she said 'I'm Sharon and I'm an addict'. There is no subtlety or depth to the writing of her or any of the characters for that matter. But that is the reason for me why she hasn't worked and won't work.

The writing and the show in general is not in a good state, and to bring back a character who is highly regarded and popular with viewers at this stage only to see her dragged down will not do anything to remedy the situation.

I think Sharon is great.

She hasn't been ruined but I dont want her to be paired up with someone that's going to damage her character like Jack.

She should be strong female character.

I agree with Zack. The show has moved on and she isn't fitting in with the rest of the cast. Yet.

Im not a Sharon fan, but I do like her and persnally I dont think she been ruiened. I've enjoyed her return I loved how she mentions Dennis and her relationship with Dennis and its understandable why she so protective of him. I've also enjoyed her scenes with Ian and Phil she works well with both of these characters.
Also they havent shoved her down our throats whoch I thought they would do and make it the Sharon show, so i'm glad they havent.

I also think her pill addiction SL interesting, and its make sense that she would have find it hard to cope after the love of her life was murdered. I would like her to relapse and take an overdose but survive, and I think they've made a bit more realistic in that she still going to the classes usually an addiction Sl the addict recovers after a week.

I didn't like how rude she was to Kim last night and she seems to be pulling a strange glaring face now and again which is bugging me. I prefer Sharon as a caring, switched on, together woman who the others respect and turn to - a big sister for the square. Not this desperate, somewhat aggressive person she's turned into.
