The actor who plays Martin will most likely not return, he's made a success of his career in the theatre world, and he has often said even though he will never say never his heart lies in his theatre work.

I do think we will see Sonia back one day, and it'd be quite easy to re-introduce Vicki now with Sharon back.

Mark Fowler should never have been killed off. I'd love to see Ian, Lucy, Bobby, Mark and Martin living at the Fowler house. I think Martin will return someday, not for a while though.

This is another big part of what's missing in today's eastenders for me the Mark and Lisa years with Martin to it was great.

Sharon has not mentioned Michelle or Vicky once since returning so I am not expecting Vicky back any time soon.

As much as I enjoy the show these days, I agree that the old days with Mark and Lisa were the best. Christmas 2001 was the show at it's biggest peak since 1986 in my opinion - the Mark/Lisa and Phil storyline was great. So many legends from that era have gone

It's a shame we don't have any Fowlers in the Square at the moment, the Beale/Fowler clan was always at the heart of the show. Ian needs the support of some family members, that's for sure! I would love to see Martin back, with Rebecca in tow. I agree to no Sonia, she was awful when she came back. She's such a misery. It would be especially great to have (a recasted?) Vicky return, especially now Sharon's back. Surely Mark Jr's got to turn up one day!?

not mentioned baby Grant either mind you he must be in his teens now so not such a baby any more would love to see how he`s turned out .

I think it's a cert that Mark will turn up at some point, he would be 16 by now, would be unrealistic for him to find his way to London on his own at the moment, and learning from the Vicki debacle, it would make sense to cast an american actor.

They could bring back Vicki Fowler instead

Scarlett Alice Johnson who played Vicky has been in other programmes and she has been really good in them

Sad that Pauline was turned into a bitter old woman and her exit SL was crap.
I wasnt a great fan of the Fowlers I did find them quite boring, but it be interesting to have Martin and Rebecca on the Square.
Wouldnt mind Vicky (played by a new actress) family for Sharon.

I find the character annoying, and when she came for that guest stint she was all ready to leave her family until Carol persuaded her not to so EE could easily say that Sonia left her family. Sonia and Bianca together, I'd hate that.
I wish Bianca wasnt returning with her repetative boring SLs and screeching voice. Oh and Whitney when is she going to leave with Tyler.

Personally I cant see the Fowlers being in the show again, it has moved on, its now about the Brannings/Jacksons, Masoods, Mitchells and the Beales. Sharon has not even mentioned Vicky or Michelle since she returned, ok there may be a reason as to why but I think the show has burnt all its Fowler bridges. Personally now I would rather the show move forward, it needs a brand new family unrelated to anyone else on the square. If they want they could make it Poppy's new family or I liked the idea in another thread of bringing in Nico's greek family but the show really needs to find another Slater family i.e-A fresh, bunch of energetic characters that will breath brand new life into the show, we are seeing or have seen a few exits this year and if they can get rid of one or two more then there would be more than enough room for a family of 5 which is badly needed.

I suppose Martin could be recast if James doesnt wish to return.

She was good in Pramface, didn't even realise it was her at first. I never minded her as Vicky either. I think the main thing people didnt like was the dodgy accent, which I dare say was a directorial decision rather than hers.
