Gary is the only one who gives constructive criticism and gets slammed for it. The whole
show is a farce.

This is the same guy who followed the farce with a certain act last year until the press coverage and performances got so bad it fell apart around him.

thats my main issue with Gary he knows the setup why the hell he came back for a 2nd year is just

I think he'll be busy with his band next year. Personally I think X Factor will be moved next year to a date that will accommodate Simon and a new/old line up of him with Cheryl, Sharon and Louis.

A hunch.

it could be damage limitation, i can't imagine him getting a third series to be honest. i could be wrong, but it does seem like he doesn't want to be there and its uncomfortable to watch. its like he is on the wrong show or wants to steer the show into his vision and its just not happening.

of course, it could be just another publicity stunt, which wouldn't surprise me. however, i do think it could be his last year and a change is needed.

Nope that title goes to Louis Walsh.

Gary is the only one who is honest. He gets slated if he criticicises someone as awful as Ryan. He says what the rest of us are thinking. This is a singing competition but the producers always keep in one joke. This year's being Ryan. Even Nicole didn't want him - she's a credible singer in her own right. Why on earth would she pick someone like him? It makes her look stupid.

It isn't a singing competition (it pretends to be) but it isn't. In order for XF to survive Saturday night - it NEEDS a combination of novelty and good singing. Unfortunately for a number of years now - the novelty has been doing all the hard work as the singing has been average at best (apart from perhaps Cher Lloyd and Rebecca Ferguson). The 'singing' this year has been pretty bad-to-average all around and for my money - there hasn't been enough novelty to keep people interested. This is why, I believe, all this 'artificial drama' has been drummed up to try and wake people up.

Gary Barlow knows the score. He knows his script. He's doing OK so far - Cowell should be pleased with the performance he's putting in.

he`s not though, is he? in that authorised biography published this year, he was less than impressed with barlow`s performance, citing him as a `bit stiff` and `too scripted`. itv went over simon`s head and rehired him leaving cowell to backtrack slightly. however, i dare say simon was not amused by that and with ratings still dwindling someone may get the axe.

simon will be on the wall path about the ratings and it doesn't take a genius to figure out who he'll be gunning for. no doubt taking great pleasure in telling itv he told them so in the process.

Bluff and double bluff! Cowell is well pleased with Gary being his puppet and Gary is more than pleased to play the puppet for his pay-cheque!

Unfortunately - XF is stuck with Boring Barlow for the rest of the year and perhaps next - its tenth year.

What a shame that in its 9th year the show has its most un-talented and un-entertaining line-up along with three of its most boring judges - Gary, Tulisa and Nicole.

i really don't think is he bluffing when it comes to barlow, there seems to be genuine concern and some may say even resentment there. his comments over gary`s obe seemed personal and not something said in jest or for publicity. if gary is back next year, then it will be the usual dilemma. who available could replace him and would they be any better?

Ah Gary, the judge who is all about talent, integrity and most of all honesty, unless it's one of his acts in question.

Yep, Simon was pretty much transparent by the end too, but at least he still had the charisma to keep his 'bit' bearable.

that does make me laugh. what does gary know about integrity? reading claims from his biggest supporters on this forum, he does mostly all the songwriting for take that and dishes out writing credits to the other members after that condition was made before their reformation. he probably realises he would never be half as successful without them, but its hardly integrity of the highest order.

Gary Barlow can't talk. He basically egged on Frankie Cocozza by allowing him to go out to all those clubs and be all over the papers. At least Rylan seems to be working much harder under Nicole than Frankie did under Gary.

Perhaps that does tell us something. He should shut up and do his job.
