Maybe her comments on the performances can be a bit banal. But she seems to get uk banter quite well between the judges.

This was something that was the downfall of kelly who was perhaps too american whereas Nicole seems a lot less American

Kelly was a Southern American caricature. She was brilliant and really funny in the auditions but became very grating and annoying in the live shows but as someone has already pointed out, the treatment of Misha probably ruined it for her.

Most of Nicoles success has been in the UK, and she got her X Factor US job because of her stint in the UK. And obviously Lewis is British which helps and is probably why she understands british humour so well.

I do wonder why they made the decision to put Kelly on our series and Nicole on the US series when they would've been so much better the other way around. But I'm glad that after a dodgy start, Nicole is winning people around. I think shes brilliant.

because in the us kelly is pretty irrelevant and we see her as the other girl in destiney's child that isn't beyonce and isn't the girl who became a gospel singer. on tv they joke and call destiney's child beyonce and friends. we know kelly, just no one cares. and nicole was part of the pussycat dolls. aka nicole whatever her last name is and friends. (i know her last name, but that is what people call her and her group lol)

Kelly's downfall was more the fact that she was very clearly only there to plug her album and when that flopped hard, she just stopped putting any effort into the show and wanted it to end ASAP.

I get that, and shes big in Europe so I can see why she was placed here in the end, but if I'm not mistaken Nicole is also irrelevant in the US (and quite disliked too?) and of course the series started with Cheryl as a judge!

I don't think she seems less American, esp with some of the phrases she uses and obviusly the accent. Maybe you mean she's just adapted well to the British life and people (which can be achieved with her still being very American ).

yes, she is irrelevant and disliked which is why simon gave her the boot. also, no one knows who cheryl is. that was a stupid decision in the first place.

That's not entirely true. Kelly always was more relevant that nic.. at least in recent years because she's only started to release music there again, last year.. Nicole did too and then disappeared.

When Nicole was put in, Kelly was already doing the UK version.. and even then she wasn't going to do if.

i never said she wasnt. she can also sing a lot better than nicole, but kelly doesn't get that much respect and neither does nicole. kelly gets more than nicole, but that still doesn't stop people from thinking she is nothing more than a background singer

Some of the things Nicole says are just.. #cringe. Kelly was way more constructive, funny, had much presents, and gave that panel some life!!

I don't think Kelly can be considered more relevant than Nicole. Kelly in everyones minds will always be, Beyonce's backup in DS while Nicole was always the main in PSD which is technically a more relevant group than DS.

Personally don't know much about either of them as solo acts. Don't think either of them have been anywhere near as successfull alone as they were in their respective girl groups but Nicole's girl group was more current and she was the Beyonce of it.

I thought having Nicole on the show was a terrible idea as I really didn't think she worked on XF USA last year, but actually she's by far my favourite judge so far. She can be fun and she can be negative/constructive, I think she's got a good balance going there.

no. it technically isnt. especially not in the states. they literally only had like two or three singles that were played massive. destiney's child will live on forever. you will probably find a lot more people that know who destiney's child are than the pussycat dolls. most people at least know all of destiney's child names, even the two that got the boot before michelle was brought on. nicole is the only recognizable pcd.

DS were definitely more respected and recieved a lot more critical acclaim. That's a different argument all together.

with the rumors of DC getting back together recently, i would say they are still more relevant. no one would even look the other way if we found out the PCD were thinking of getting back together.

Destineys child were never massive in the uk

their second and third albums both went triple platinum and their last went platinum in the uk. the pcd first album went triple platinum and their second just gold. i'd say dc were a bit bigger than pcd
