I'm new here, so i don't want to be bullied etc. i have come on here to have my opinion. i have seen how some ds members, can be quite rude etc.

Personally, i think that EE did a brilliant job e.g Lola's reaction & her aftermath reaction. the social worker (behaviour) was spot on too. I'm not saying that all social workers are like Trish, but i have met alot of sws, & trust me, they weren't all about keeping the families together. (I'm not going to talk about my personal life, all I'm saying is, i have had first hand experience)

The legal side of this storyline is slightly incorrect,
The social worker cannot take a child just like that. She would of need a epo or she would of had to get lola sign a s21. She wouldn't of been called out, because of the arrest. at the point, Lexi would of been given to a responsible adult. Lexi would of had to be put on the child protection. meetings would of had to take place. i know, the sw had concerns, and I'm not going to comment on those concerns.

Phil would not even be considered for custody. His background alone would be too worrying. His relationship with Ben would be looked at. & possibly His other children. He has a criminal record as well. He would have to have assessments as well. Will he pass? Um, i don't think so tbh.
Faking a relationship with Sharon wouldn't work either.
She would (probably) pass with flying colours. But because of Phil, they would fail.

The tragicness is that Lexi won't be returned to Lola. Which i'm in total disagreement with.

You're right, the s/l is full of holes and it makes it frustrating to watch. I'm hoping for someone to step in an expose Phil for what he is and that Lexi gets returned to her mum. Lola is not a bad mother

First off, don't mind Mo Mouse: he's very funny when you get to know him.

I'm sorry you've had such a time with social workers, it sounds awful. And there is such a lot of holes in this story but they're taking an artistic license because they must feel like they have a better story to tell. And I think that the producers and writers must have figured out that Phil works best in the centre of a huge family, so they're figuring out how to get him a new one. So they'll take Billy's (again) in the shape of Lola and Lexi, and add Sharon and Dennis Jr to the mix. I just hope Jay moves back in with Billy again.

I hope that's not the way it ends up. The thing I've always liked best about Lola is her loyalty to her grandad and friends. I don't want her dumped into a new family unit that leaves Billy and Jay out in the cold. I know they want an excuse to get Phil and Sharon together but it would be a shame to break the Billy/ Lola/ Lexi/ Jay bond just for this.
