Bored of 'mash ups'
How is singing the easy bits from 2 or even 3 different songs a challenge?
6 contestants must've done them last night! |

I agree, they aren't true 'mash ups' at all, they are just singing random bits of random songs that don't compliment or have any relation to each other whatsoever.
Properly done, mash ups can be brilliant but the staff at the X Factor haven't got a clue! |

I agree, it's just distracting and sounds like a mess.

I agree, Kye's 'mash-up' was pointless and not relevant other than the fact that Thank You was also sampled in Stan, by Eminem. Rylan's was rather
as well.

Properly done, mash ups can be brilliant but the staff at the X Factor haven't got a clue! there have been some brilliant proper mash ups over the years but these are just trying to fit together bits of songs that don't fit and it's a car crash. The production team should leave this sort of thing to the experts |

Kye should have just sung Love The Way You Lie, I think trying to do both songs is what really brought his performance down. Much as dislike Jahmene, Ain't No Mountain High Enough was quite good forhim but a totally pointless mash-up with Tears Dry On The Own. Probably shoehorned in because they realised he wasn't very good at Amy Winehouse. Rylan's was quite fun and I did see the point in it being a mash-up. While I did enjoy Union J, they were possibly the two most random songs to be mashed-up in the history of X-Factor.
I don't see why they need to mash-up anyway, just sing one song and show us you can sing it all! |

There's only one place where mashups are acceptable, and that's on Glee.

Mashups generally do annoy me, I much prefer the traditional method of you know, singing one song - it sadly seems to have gotten more popular on X Factor, probably since the producers have been watching a bit too much Glee. |
