Who would you be happy to co host and who would turn u off?

They'll have to drag him out in his wooden box. He ain't retiring anytime soon.

I'd turn off if it was Vernon Kay/John Barrowman/anyone who has no relation to Strictly whatsoever.

I'd say it's very likely that when Brucie retires, Tess and Claudia will host.

It would be a big job and there would be a lot of competition for it. Some of the names mentioned over the years have included:

John Barrowman
Vernon Kay
Graham Norton
Terry Wogan
Anton Du Beck
Bradley Walsh
Paul O'Grady
But it could be a complete surprise. E.g someone like Philip Schofield might be tempted to cross the ocean or, if Dermot O'Leary feels a a bit insecure in Simon Cowell's employment, he might go for it. My guess is that it would be someone younger rather than older. A new kid on the block.

Personally I hope Bruce stays for a while because I think that, once he goes, the show will change in a fundemental way. It may lose it's warmth a bit and become a lot more like those other harsh judging shows out there.

I don't care about it being someone currently or formerly connected to Strictly. I'd rather it was someone with natural presenting ability, who can give the impression of being genuinely interested in and sympathetic to the competitors and have appropriate banter with the judges. Someone with the sort of presenting style that Alexander Armstrong has on Pointless.

Unleash Keith Lemmon, just for one show as i do actually love Strictly and wouldnt want permanent damage done to the brand. Imagine the horror of it all, the judges, the dancers, Jerry Hall! This forum would go into meltdown

Anton can't present though. He was terrible on Step up to the plate - and that was a pre-recorded programme. He just couldn't cope with presenting. If he can't do a simple pre-recorded presentation, imagine how he would struggle on a live show

I will get hammered for this - but I would think Dale Winton or Chris Hollins could be the choices of the PTB. Dale is quick witted enough to handle the judges. Chris is the safe pair of hands with plenty of live presenting experience behind him

Tess and Claudia may as well stay on if this ever happens.

I'm surprised Dale has never taken part actually!

I'd like somebody box fresh who wouldn't come with any baggage or irritating catchphrases from old shows. None of the people mentioned so far do it for me. Bruce was new once and wasn't that well known when he was given Sunday Night at the London Palladium to host - a much bigger show than SCD is now. Why shouldn't somebody else get a similar break?
