Its a possibility if Christoper goes tonight. Don't think Melanie has many weeks left and Kye might be bottom two tonight

Melanie has the potential to last quite a while in my opinion, but I do think she'll be the last Over standing by about week four.

The guy Toby who comes here and monitors positive and negative traffic has them as potentially the bottom 3

The main fanbase of the Overs, with the exception of Kye perhaps, won't be as online friendly as the fans of Union J for example? And those who are won't tweet or post on Facebook a million times about them, but they will vote! ... I hope.

Nothing against Gary but I really want Christopher to go tonight. It's come to something when I even prefer Rylan to him.

The overs look quite vulnerable now. I think Melanie could be the last over standing.

If Kye survives tonight, he needs to up his game. He's got potential but he hasn't got it right yet.
Melanie will last a few more weeks but can't see her making the last 5.

Christopher needs to go asap before he sings You'll Never Walk Alone and the universe implodes

Interesting... Melanie really doesn't seem to have a fanbase at all though I would have thought older viewers would have liked her. I'm wondering if X-Factor has lost it's older viewers in recent years though

Agree with Satanel about it only picking up a younger more 'social networking' demographic though

Kye and Chris are in trouble. Melanie seems to like she could be around for another while.

Sadly Christopher will last much longer than people think. He is doing very well in certain reliable polls- only Ella is beating him.

Tellymix poll which had Chris as the runaway leader for the wildcard, shows a very different picture today. It has District 3 and Chris/ Kye as the bottom 2. District 3 were trending yesterday before the show even started so they may have more support/ votes than is reflected in the poll. Nonetheless, the poll has over 1,200 voters counted at this point...

X Factor 2012 final 12: Who's your favourite?

Ella Henderson (32%, 384 Votes)
Jahmene Douglas (11%, 133 Votes)
James Arthur (10%, 116 Votes)
Lucy Spraggan (8%, 93 Votes)
Jade Ellis (7%, 84 Votes)
Union J (7%, 81 Votes)
Rylan Clark (5%, 64 Votes)
Melanie Masson (5%, 57 Votes)
MK1 (5%, 55 Votes)
Christopher Maloney (4%, 47 Votes)
Kye Sones (4%, 47 Votes)
District3 (2%, 40 Votes)
Total Voters: 1,201

That poll on the main page had something wrong with it. When I went to bed at 1am he was on 0.81% and something like this happened on one of the Big Brothet polls.

I'll echo the sentiments of others - Melanie is doing quite well and I hope she lasts. Chrissy was rubbish last night and it is difficult to see what he can do. Kye should be good, but isn't and he needs to find better songs and learn how to perform. Kye is not Bono, he is not attractive or charismatic and needs to understand this and adjust his act accordingly.

I like Melanie I rate her very highly but I didn't like the song choice not just as a song choice I think it's a terrible song.

I think Kye will be alright, I think he appeals to the Olly Murs demographic and also is someone young teenagers who seek 'credible' artists will like.

I can only hope Christopher's time is up however I fear that characters like him have a bad habit of sticking around on this show like a bad smell.

I thought last night was a real low point for Melanie, both in terms of song, singing and styling. But I want her to progress in the competition because I think she can do so much better.

I've found Kye to be terribly overrated; he hasn't had "the X Factor" for me at all yet, and he was out of tune last night.

Christopher was dreadful last night.

That said, I thought Mk 1, District 3 and Rylan were all dire last night, so there are others apart from Kye who deserve to be in the bottom 2.

Going on singing, I'd put Christopher and Rylan in the bottom 2.

Gary obviously inherited a difficult category. Its not a bad line up he has this year but ultimately, they are all generally a bit average. I can see him being out of acts very fast. Only Loius with his uninspired and lazy performing boybands are more at risk.
