Who wouldn't work a schedule like her's if they could? Most people would if they were offered the choice. But on the other hand, if I was a producer running a show like Eastenders; I wouldn't offer anybody that choice to begin with. It simply can't work out in the long-run if somebody has to be written out for however-many-months every year.”
Spot on. I agree with the whole post but particularly what I highlighted.
On a different note though, I think the trouble with Patsy is that she's slagged the show off before so many of us know her heart isn't really in it and she's just coming back for the dosh and flexible contracts. It could be behind people's resentment compared to Jo Joyner who to my knowledge hasn't said a bad word about the show. Perhaps it shouldn't matter that Patsy has been scathing but to me it does for some reason I can't quite explain (especially when I've had a few wines

).

They don't get paid for breaks and, as they are out of contract when they take them, there is no guarantee that they will be asked back.”
I remember that, lovely photos. Like I say I think some people (or is that just me?) might be more forgiving if she hadn't bad mouthed the show. After all, can't really blame her for putting her family first.
