Did that story line actually serve any point at all ?? It didn't lead to anything (unless I've forgotten about it) other than they introduced a couple of characters and then they were never seen nor spoken about ever again. Weird

IIRC EVERYBODY hated the storyline and they dropped it. But that doesn't mean they should now pretend it never happened.

I don't really believe you would say something that wasn't true in the heat of the moment, Ryan is hardly likely to forget that he is not Michelle's biological son, but if it was an isolated incident I might be able to buy it. Since they have made no reference whatsoever to the babyswap I think they want to forget about it which is just ridiculous.

Exactly, the story went on for months and it wasn't just one of a number of storylines going on at that time, it dominated the show for months. To ignore it is wiping out months of Corrie history as though the show wasn't on-air at all during that period.

Agree I think it is terrible how they seem to have deleted this from History ? I mean a big story like it was supposed to have been at the time ..a baby actually not being yours ! No mention of Alex EVER Or Ryan mentioning his dad ..very ODD

The sames thoughts were going through my head when I was watching last nights ep. There is never any mention of Alex, you'd have thought with Ryans "drug" habbit it might have been a good time to re-visit the story he could have tried to rip his biological parents off.

For those who don't know about the Michelle other son story.
Alex Neeson

Coronation Street character

First appearance

Alex Neeson, played by Dario Coates, made his first on screen appearance on 17 December 2007. Alex was involved in the soap opera's first child swap storyline.

In October 2007 it was announced that Michelle Connor would find that her child was swapped at birth and that Alex was, in fact, her real son. The actor who plays Alex, Dario Coates stated in an interview that his character "Is just a normal teenager".

Biological son of Michelle Connor and her late partner, Dean, he is currently living with his legal father, Nick Neeson. Nick and his wife, Wendy, divorced over the row about Alex not being their biological son.

It was later revealed that Alex would find out the truth from the very child he got swapped with. Nick's biological son, Ryan, told Alex the truth when they fought in the street on 21 January 2008. Alex was hit by a car and both boys were taken to hospital.

Storylines

In February 2008, Alex was seen in The Kabin telling Norris how he was Michelle's son and that she would pay for the sweets he'd bought. The news soon spread across Weatherfield but Ryan didn't find this funny when Amber commented on this. Alex was later taken by the police, as he had been caught shoplifting The Kabin, so they took him to The Rovers when he claimed that is where he lives, so Michelle said that she was his mother and he was safe to stay at the pub.

On 15 February 2008 Alex moved in with Michelle, Steve, Amy and Ryan at the Rovers Return Inn. Whilst staying there, he caused a few problems. Such as when he lost Amy when he was supposed to be looking after her, also by barricading himself in the pub, which led to a stand off in which Michelle talked him into opening the doors and driving Ryan out to live with her brother, Liam. He later refused to go back and live with Wendy, causing a lot more pressure on Michelle. Alex moved out and went to live with Nick on 7 March when Steve said he had to go. Michelle was upset but was also glad to have Ryan home again.

On 4 April, Steve went to Alex's house and tried to persuade Alex to see Michelle again, after some thought, he met up with Michelle once again on 7 April 2008.

The character was last seen when Michelle was about to take Alex and Ryan to see their grandparents in Ireland.

Of all people, Traceyluv would be the one to throw this in Michelle's face, she would love it. Its ridiculous that it hasnt been mentioned.
Even if Tracey was in jail when it all happened she still would have been told about it, probably by Norris.
