My list would be the likes of Den, Angie, Chrissie and Sharon Watts, Kathy and Ian Beale, Peggy, Tiffany, Phil and Grant Mitchell, Kat Moon, Pat, Frank and Bianca Butcher, Dot and Stacey Branning, Dennis Rickman, Michelle and Pauline Fowler

Anyone who should/shouldn't be there?

Just goes to show which is EE greatest family; given only one has all its members as legends.

Nice list. Can't disagree with any of that

I think mark fowler was a legend. Such a brave storyline in the 80s when there was such prejudice and ignorance about aids. Maybe it's the SL rather than the character but it was ground breaking, as was the first gay couple, Colin and Barry I think he was called. EE at its best.

I agree Mark Fowler was great.

Also agree with Stupid head about Stacey - certainly not a legend, a bore of a character if you ask me. I didn't see her name on the list until now. Chrissie would've been a legend, but she wasn't in the show long enough to be called one.

Stacey was good (apart from after Bradley died) but not a legend. Chrissie was fab, just wish she had stayed longer. I think the show is missing Peggy and pat. Apart from Phil and Sharon nobody has any screen presence. Well not the kind that legends have anyway.

I keep changing my mind about Kat. I want her to be a legend and I think she kind of is but her storylines since her return have not helped. Having said that I have liked her over the last two weeks and I hope this spells the end of the dirty gIrl stuff. I especially liked her scenes with Lola and would like to see more of this caring side.

I'd definitely call Kat Slater a legend, but she wasn't really a Moon for that long before she left, and what they've given her to work with since she's been back certainly hasn't been good enough to give her legend status.

I loved the scenes with Lola too, really showed a side we haven't seen all that much of lately, because to me the beauty of Kat as she used to be was that she acted all tough, but when it came down to it she genuinely cared for people.

Surely Arthur Fowler should be on the list as well?

Nick I'd agree with because those who don't watch Eastenders would have heard of him

As for Janine, maybe if she stays for another few years and Ronnie, not really, no one really knows her apart from the baby swap- so its the storyline thats famous, not Ronnie

2 years. In total, she's been a Moon on the show longer than she was a Slater...

Dunno about Chrissy, a fab character but wasnt around long enough to be considered a legend. I like the rest of the list tho, I would of added Mark, Arthur, Carol, Ethel and Steve (Owen) to that list.

How do a character actually become a legend?

Is it how long they've been on the show?
The storylines for the character?

It can have different meanings, I dont consider legends being characters that only stuck around for a couple of years, thats why as much as I love Chrissy I cant call her a legend, she wasnt around long enough.
