I worry his fan base is getting bigger by the day, winning the wild card means he will be around lot longer than expected whole of Liverpool are voting for him.

His cousin is on Twitter too which gives him extra support.

That is the best bit of his act.

Of course I think people should vote for whoever they want, but I can't understand his appeal at all.

Is it all the drama and the crying and a rush of sympathy for the underdog/dram queen/bloke from down the road again?

What's that got to do with relevant (it's 2012) talent?

Stupid question I guess

A lot of old people may remember him from their Saga cruises, and be motivated to vote for him.

(I am an old person, I just don't go on Saga cruises.)

Maybe older viewers are more active in the voting than anyone has guessed. I suspect he has most of the over-75 vote sewn up.

You should go on a Royal Caribbean cruise. A singer like Christopher wouldn't even get to their audition callbacks.

Same on P&O!

Being absolutely fair, his voice isn't as bad as some, but the whole package, i.e. orangeness, sentimentality, cheesiness and "old school" songs, isn't in the least bit commercial.

Even Dermot is catching on ...

"Our very own Shakin' Stevens!"
"He only starts shaking when he stops singing!"

These people are doing him a disservice when they pick up the phone to vote for him. They won't buy his music if he releases any. He will flop harder than Marcus, Al*x*ndra and Leon put together.

Yes! And Cunard!

No, his voice isn't that bad - he was more in tune than District 3 - but you're spot on. People might be voting for him but who would actually buy his records?

He has the charisma of a toe nail.

Who is wasting their money on voting for him? They should have their phonelines permanently disconnected.

I agree. The 'whole package' also includes the fake trembling and nerves at his audition and the granny factor.

And Ireland, and all of the northwest. It might be that they have got onto the fact they cannot make it anymore obvious they don't want him there.

I can only speak for Cork, but I haven't come across anybody who likes the Orange One here.
