They do sound incredibly easy to make. Sounds like basically a hotdog sausage in corn batter. They make them look tasty on tv.

Thanks.

How about posting a thread about something you do like - as you seem to be finding everything revolting today.

No idea I found the corn dogs by googling but the first link I posted may help you more.

It's a good job that they taste good then. Especially when you make them yourself with a good quality sausage.

I love a krusty pup, but usually in its proper habitat, that being a state fair, and ideally washed down by a giant funnel cake.

However, this recipe looks delightful: http://www.davidlebovitz.com/2011/11...n-dogs-recipe/ With some spicy mustard or harissa mayonnaise? Yes, please!

Not a lot. They haven't sold corndogs for a couple of years, my son use to love them.

For anyone who is not a member, you can now shop online at Costco and pay a 5% surcharge + vat

Corn dogs have a horrid texture and taste of almost nothing.
I'm pretty sure that they have no nutritional value at all - no idea why Americans like them but then they seem to exist off Macaroni cheese over there and as their cheese is also tasteless (as is pasta on it's own) perhaps the national palate likes bland food?

Absolute rubbish! There are some awesome cheeses to be had in the States.

'Their cheese'? I've been to America multiple times and they have all sorts of cheese. Never once eaten macaroni cheese either.
