She's got to be over 18 (at least in real life, though she's probably playing a younger character). Still, Ben and Beth are the youngest now, it stands to reason they'd find a connection. Everyone else is practically an adult.

Think I'd rather Maggie though... :P

Edit: Note noticed that has all been explained by Anachrony. My bad.

I actually hope it doesn't; same with True Blood and Vampire Diaries.

If shows follow the books exactly, then it's highly likely people will spoil it for you (this has happened for me with Game of Thrones). If shows veer off occasionally, then no matter how much something can be spoilt, there's always room for that little surprise.
I think they've already shown that it can deviate enough from the comics to be shocking when it wants to be

I know, I'm aware we've already had events (and characters) not in the comics. I'm just saying that I think it's nice that this show isn't following the comics word for word, scene for scene ect.

An amazing episode again. They really are delivering this year. That bit with Hershel made me jump lol.

I've actually really grown on Lori, I loved her admission on being a terrible mother and wife. Made me laugh. But Carl can just leave. He's annoying me sooo much. Firstly, oh group member has been bitten, and had his leg axed of. I best go off, by myself and getting some medicine. Yeah ok.

I dunno if I like this new Rick yet. It kinda reminding me of Shane, which was a main reason I liked Rick previous series. But I guess we'll see soon.

TBF, the whole grimes family could leave, and the show would be amazing. Loving all the characters so far. Carol has really grown, and is really strong and all. And loved T-Dog this episode. He needs to be in it more. His line about taking the bodies out and burning them, just something was amazing.

The whole prisoner story was great. Nice to see the whole not knowing whats happening at all. And trying to adjust straight away was great. I liked the guy who was kinda scratched or something, but kinda missed if he died or not. The other prisoners where great, apart from the main one, so was quiet satisfying that moment lol.

And severe lack of Andrea and Michonne this episode. But whole episode of them, and the governor next episode, so cant complain.

Also who was watching Carol do the cutting. Something about that scene, was really creppy. Although I like that she is getting a bigger role in group now!!!

What a brilliant second episode....a continuation to last week's awesome season opener.

Im really loving this, and can't get enough! Can't believe how quick the 40 odd minutes go by!

Every single character has grown / evolved so much since last year's finale. And everyone has done so in a credible way within the show's own reality. Just watching today it struck me how every single member of the "family" has a role to play. They are a proper community now where everyone has a role to play. From Carol practising on a corpse to learn the necessary to play her role, to Carl going off on his own killing walkers to find the infirmary in order to get the much needed supplies. And Rick has turned darker out of necessity in the new world - how much has he grown since the strat - this week he shockingly killed the nasty prisoner and then left the ther outside in a yard full of workers. I like that he also kept the other two alive, showing that his essence is still alive somewhere inside him - "there's no malice inside you".

Last week I was concerned how the TV series would deal with even more characters to a fast growing cast - considering there is the Governor and his cre yet to be added! Solution - kill off most of the prisoners. I guess that in order to mantain a good character balance and development, we might see various characters play minor / supporting roles for afew weeks and perhaps coming to the forefront every so often - otherwise it will be a nightmare! In part they have already done this and this week we saw nothing of Michonne and Andrea.

After last year's dodgy season, this year everything is in top form - characters, writing, setting - they are doing a great job in mantaining tension too - so many jumps this week!

Been a few years now since I read the relevant editions of the comic series, and I can't remember many details but am really liking that the TV show is doing its own thing - still using some of the original stories but rehashing them for TV and to continue to shock even the greatest comic fans.

Can't wait for next week now. I never thought I would say this, but I just love Mondays!

Did'nt think the 2nd episode was as good as the opener, some nice scenes and Rick being 'badass', still not liking Carl but hey, next weeks looks good.

Did anyone else pick up on the fact that it looked like Carol was being watched by someone outside of the prison when she was doing her c-section practice on the female walker?

I think it was Merle watching her.

Carol has turned into such a great character now she is without the husband and daughter. I like her more than I like Maggie and the blonde sister and obviously more than Lori.

Wish Andrea would come back into the fold.

Yes, but I still don't want her hooking up with Daryl. He is mine.

Brilliant episode. Some really really nasty bits.

I am suprised the prisoners were dealt with swiftly. Even quicker than Otis!!

But as mentioned by someone else, Having too many characters is hard in TV. maybe if it was a full 24 episode series yes, But in the comics you don't have to worry about keeping actors happy. Nor paying them. So the prisoners getting offed in relative quickness was a good option. But there is still 2 left. Wonder what will happen with them now.

Although Rick/Tdog/Darryl were right to be aggressive towards the prisoners.. I can't help hoping they are not like this everytime they meet survivors now.

Also Rick mentioned to the prisoners half the population has turned into walkers... I'd like to bet it is considerable more.

Who was watching Carol? I kind of expect it to be Merle. I'm going to put something out there though and say.. Even though we basically know Merle is in Woodbury with the Governer. Will he be on his side? I actually think he's gonna sympathise with Andrea and help her out..

I actually jumped when Hershall woke up when Lori was giving him the kiss of life. Fantastic twist haha. Although we seen with Andrea's sister. It takes a little bit of time for them to reanimate.
Got so much else to say but cant be bothered.

Its been a real long time i've enjoyed watching an episode with suspense and anticipation. I'd go as far back as Prison Break seasons one and two. Just fantastic screenplay.

Man, the season 3 premiere was immense! One of the best hours of tele I have ever watched!
Words just can't give this series enough justice. It is epic and I am so glad it's doing so well in the US!

I agree there was a couple of plot holes in the writing, but I loved it all the more because of it. It would of been completely boring if they had just drew them all to the fence and picked them off. They had to make it exciting for television and they did just that.

I absolutely love the shed loads of gore this series produces! It's freaking awesome.

Forget vampires! Zombies kick ass!

Ah, that reminds me of a tiny bit that annoyed me in the second ep.

When they went to find the Walker for Carol to practice, the Walkers were all against the fence. She picked out the one she wanted, and then Glen lead the others away. Now that made no sense. There were about three of them. He could have killed them easily, and therefore meant there was a lot less danger to Carol as she went out to retrieve the body of her 'victim'.

I think they're right to be suspicious of all newcomers...but those in prison even more so! Rick has an instinct for a bad'un.

The 'half the population' bit puzzled me, but I wonder if he meant the other 40% were dead.

I had a proper shrieky moment with Hershel - I also think Lori proved her worth with that action, whether it takes time to reanimate or or not she still took a risk bringing him back. In fact I'm beginning to like Lori a bit more this season, the only bit that annoyed me was her telling Carl off.

I thought Episode 2 was very good. I actually thought it was better than the season premiere to be honest. While the premiere had a lot of tension and action, there was little time for character drama. But Episode 2 was a much better balance of those two. The drama with Rick and the prisoners, and the seperate subplot of Hershel's loved ones gathering around to help him worked well to compliment each other. And then you had the action with Rick and his group helping the prisoners to clear out a cell block for them. All in all, an entertaining hour of television. This must be the "leaner and meaner" version of The Walking Dead Glen Mazzara was talking about. I'm liking this season so much more than Season 1 and 2 put together.

Yeah maybes the other 40% dead, I don't know. He should have told them its not bad and the prisoners might have just left.

What we don't know is were they the first survivors they've seen since they left the farm?

If so then its safe to say Rick etc would think theres more than half the population gone.

Not to mention they don't know about Woodbury yet.

Also does the group as far as they know think Andrea is dead?

Slower pace this week but enjoyable none the less - not least for the return of Merle

So, the Gov'ner is totally loony tunes too - who'd have guessed ;D Don't think it is going to end well for him somehow

Awesome episode!

Really enjoying Michonne, such an awesome character.

Kinda liked the Governor at the start of the episode with him helping that helicopter pilot, but my mind quickly changed! Nasty piece of work he is, and he's such a good deceiver too! Glad Michonne isn't falling for it though, unlike Andrea.

Very creepy ending with him going into that little room and sat down to look at water tanks with zombie heads in them. O_O That human looking head was the pilot, I guess?

Can't wait till next episode!

Oooh! Forgot something. Merle! Yay!

Yeah it was.

Interesting episode again, very different to anything they've done before. Andrea really is a sucker for a good-looking bloke with charisma isn't she?

They're definitely keeping up the under-lying theme in this series, that humans seem to be killing most of their fellow people. I guess it's probably right as you enter anarchy, and other's stupidity get you killed anyway. Best to be in the group you trust.

So much for the brotherhood of man though.

Wow, another great episode, not what I was expecting at all.

Michonne is just great with her brooding looks, taking everything in and suspecting everyone around her. "we want our weapon's", sure, on your way out the gates. Something tells me she would be fine on the other side of the gates with or without her weapons.

Andrea and Merle's interaction was quite interesting. Both realizing they had been abandoned by the group. I think Merle isn't quite done with her yet and will want to know roughly where she last saw his little bro (and of course, Rick).

I think I can remember the Governor having the exact same zombie heads in the books and I hope there will be other "things" discovered in his room that were also in the book. Overall I think he is a great character. He's kind of the evolved version of Rick at this point, having found a safe haven and a community to build up. Every ruthless decision he makes is for the greater good (or so he must tell himself) of those around him. Then again, most sociopaths have that outer veneer to them that appears unscratched.

Great episode, my favourite of the season so far.

I really liked Andrea mentioning the dead Atlanta survivors to Merle, I like it when characters are still mentioned after death.

I don't see Milton lasting long, which is a shame as I really like him. Then again, I said the same about Darryl in Season 1 and he's still alive and kicking.

Great episode this week, as others have said, an unexpected deviation from the norm. The Governor's an interesting addition, looking forward to seeing the story behind his character. But now we have two seperate communites, i'm wondering how the two paths will cross, is Woodbury anywhere near the prison....actually i don't want to know, i'm just happy to sit back and let things unfold, loving it all so far
