Explain?

I did!!

For the (young) person who asked for explanation .....
years and years ago there used to be a prog called "Crossroads" and Miss Diane was one of the main characters. I think she was a receptionist (but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong) and she was in it for donkeys years.

It was on early evening and just about everybody in the UK watched it. It was the story of a motel set in the Midlands, the people who owned, the staff and their guests.

You just didn't miss "Croggers" because you couldn't record it - that's how old it is!!

You mean Benny I remember him on Crossroads. He was friends with Miss Luke. She always wore a hat with one of those big hat pins to keep it on her head. Anyway one day shes chatting to Benny and put the hat and pin on her head....Benny said Miss Luke do that pin go right though your head

Always think of that when I see any older ladies with hats on lol

Me too, closely followed by 'she was married to Carl Wayne in real life !' Carl was in the Move with Roy Wood. Loved 'em!

Wasn't Miss Diane originally a waitress come chambermaid in Crossroads? And of course she would have worked along side Sue Nichols in those days.

Well apart from the Dot Cotton smoker's top lip and the extra chin. It was lovely to see her, and the cross over worked well.

Actually, I exclaimed - "Wincey Willis!", but then I quickly realised my error.

Had to ask myself - were the two Sues in 'Crossroads' at the same time as I seem to recall Dame Nicholls' character (Marylin Gates) was recast at some point...?

They were indeed, from 1965-1968.
