he has always been boring and the actor always has an expression like he's smelt something bad or he is clueless as to what he is doing.

And i dont like his name either. my muslim friends have never heard of it and say it doesnt even exist. Tanveer would have been better or even a million other names.

Tamwar just needs the right girlfriend. Afia was whiny and demanding and their relationship exacerbated his negativity. If he found an upbeat low maintenance girl she might bring out his fun side. He used to have a dry sense of humour and I miss it.

I suppose being married to Afia would destroy anyone's spirit

He should be a recurring character. Have him used now and again at family meals, weddings, funeral etc. Maybe go off to uni?

YES,

I've had enough of this sarcastic, sullen, buffoon over the years to last a lifetime. The sooner he's axed, the better.

Personally I love Tamwar, (he reminds me very much of a friend I have) but when I see him on screen I do laugh, his facial expressions are hilarious and I love his dry sense of humour. I dont wanna see him axed, I want the show to develop him more! axing Afia has left him in limbo but he has a good friendship with Fatboy but so far that is it, I'd like to see him have more scenes with the younger crowd, I know the likes of Lauren, Lucy, Whitney and Tyler are very different to him but seeing him at least socialise with them would be a start, (infact Im suprised Whitney hasnt had a go on Tam, seeing as she's had everyone else) I remember one time he got drunk in the Vic and started flirting with Stacey, be good if Tam started drinking in order to fit in more etc I think he also needs to move out, something like that will give him a new direction but I do really hope Tamwar doesnt leave, he is one of my favourites!

He should have left at the same time as Afia, I liked the couple together and writing her out but leaving him in was pretty pointless. He's a spare part and he should have left with her, Syed take over the restaurant and mess it up like it is now anyway...

Tam is a fine character to have as background, its nice to have some 'normal' people on the square but at the same time I wouldnt miss him if he were gone and I am pretty tired of him moping about all the time. Oh woe is me my mum that gave me a restaurant doesnt notice me!

They did the same thing with Jodie Gold. They had her stay after Darren and Vanessa had left-could think of nothing useful for her and she left a shortwhile later. All seemed very slipshod and silly.

To be honest, I think it needs to get worse to get better. I was kinda hoping he might do drugs but I guess they won't have Sharon and Tamwar cause Sharon probably takes 'priority'.

Maybe attempted suicide and then someone like Alice Branning or Lucy (just improvising here) feels sorry for him, takes pity and helps him get better and they feel a proper spark!

BK ruined him with the Afia storyline. He shouldn't have married Afia
Loved him when Santer was EP
Just bring back the old Tam and get rid of this one.

I think its the case of if they can create plausible storylines for him or not, its a waste to have him be nothing but a filler character like he has been the last couple of months, I'd think it likely his could exit in the next year, they isolate characters after the initial big storylines are over like they did with Christian and Syed when they hit a brick and then you don't see them for months on end.

I don't understand why there's a call to get rid of him really as this thread appears to be suggesting.

Basically he's a simple and unassuming character, yet occasionally amusing with it in an intellectual way. Since Libby left he's the only youngster left in the show with a sizeable ounce of intelligence too - so should be retained, even if he's never been the life and soul of the party.....as that's just not his personality! I like his laid back take on things and while others find him dull because he's not an in your face merchant or spiteful in any way. I like him because of that. Also as he's not a drama queen as such then that is probably why he didn't make a song and dance over the burns he received in the Christmas Day fire last year. On the other hand I was glad to see the back of Afia......

It's sad that Tamwar seems to have become a bit of a spare part, especially considering how popular he was on here not so long ago.

If he is axed, that's another Masood child gone for good. The daughter never seems to come back and visit (unrealistic), in fact that is what always happens in EE. Once gone they don't return even for funerals (might make a dramatic reappearance years later).

Tamwar is a credible and likeable character, do people always have to have dramatic storylines? He has had his fair share.

No, he still makes me laugh! His comedy routine in the pub was so unfunny but funny at the same time if you get my drift.

He's been depressed way before Afia came into his life!

The result is closer than I thought it would be.If I was the EP I would interpret this as Tamwar is on thin ice as a character and is stagnating and a decision needs to be made whether to make a determined focused effort to get the character back on track with a plan or whether to let him exit in 2013.
