Anyone spotted what appears to be the Family Affairs set being used in the new Geordie Shore advert? Pretty sure it's also being used in the latest Cheryl Cole video and Olly Murs last.

Looks to be the exact same outdoor set just with a few shop fronts changed, anyone able to confirm for me?

it shows up in loads of things, you are right that is the Family Affairs set in the Geordie Shore ad. Which is odd given that its no where near Newcastle.

It has also been on BBC 3s Mongrels.

I also expect it will appear in ITVs forthcoming "Real Crime"


Olly Murs is also right, as that is cleary the set of The Bill, and both sets are at Wimbeldon Studios.

Was it always owned by them or did Channel 5 sell it to them?

used to appear on the bill all the time, was used when they had the explosion storyline.

Family Affairs was a Talkback Thames production for Channel 5 (same for ITV and The Bill)

I believe at that time, Thames (or parent company) owned the studios. Since then it was sold off, and Wimbledon Studios now owns itself.
