Suggest a Barlow replacement
Gazza B's off after this series, apparently, and I was wondering who should replace him.
Reading this forum, it seems that people want somebody with industry knowledge, who will speak his mind and who won't be influenced by by all the SyCo shenanigans; staying true to his ideals. My suggestion would be Ian Fraser Kilmister: Lemmy from Motörhead. He's got more than 40 years of industry experience, huge success on both sides of the Atlantic and I doubt even a big paycheck would keep him from opening his gob. OK, so he's a drug-addled old sybarite, but that worked well for Steven Tyler on Idol. Another option would be John Lydon. A genuine, acknowledged, music industry legend, Lydon is smart, clever and, again, says it like he feels it. |

Anything.
A bottle of Domestos would serve the same purpose and have more personality. As well as being far more believable. |

Realistically, it would have to be someone from the world of pop as an alternative type or a rocker wouldn't touch it (and rightly so) with a 10 foot barge pole.
My immeadiete thought is Will Young as he has experienced the process first hand and is eloquent and critical without being bitchy. If they wanted to really annoy him, they could approach Robbie Williams- although I think he'd be slightly too manic to commit full time. |

The press are saying will.i.am might do it now that he and Cowell are working together on other projects - although when the live shows came around on The Voice his stock seemed to drop significantly so I'm not sure he's the answer (whereas Danny who was awful in the auditions improved).
I think what they need is someone new - just like Cowell was in 2001. Back in 2010 I was hoping they'd get Craig Logan. Perhaps most famous for being in 80's boyband Bros. But he went into the business, managed Pink and ran RCA UK (he now manages Cher Lloyd). Also interesting for the tabloids back then would have been the fact that he was once engaged to Dannii Minogue. Doesn't have to be him but I'm sure that somewhere in the music industry there's a successful, personable charismatic, executive. |

Preferably someone who doesn't think Ella sings his own song ten times better than him when she's actually crap or who does not think Frankie Cocozza can sing.
Basically, someone with half a clue. |

I'd like a pop producer, but I wouldn't want to ruin one I really like.

I think Gary does a good job and no-one has yet suggested anyone who touches him musically. Of course there are people out there with more personality than him, but it is a head judge we are looking for, otherwise we might as well just say Michael Mackintyre. Hmm, Bill Bailey though.. |

I would say Danny is as talented a songwriter and a better singer tan Gary but he hasn't been around for as long. He would be unrealistic du to is role on The Voice though. Mel B should replace Nicole but we could have a more talented and credible female in Gary's role, no need for an even split as The Voice has 3 males. Katy Perry's good and she'd be fun to watch but she may be too busy. It might be an easier job for Adele than touring while she has a little one to look after - and I reckon she'd do it as I remember her saying she'd have auditioned if he hadn't been at the BRIT School.

Will Young
Charlie Simpson Tom Fletcher I think the show needs an injection of a younger male judge; the above 3 have also been in the music business for 10+ years. However I would get rid of Louis and Nicole as well - Tulisa I dont mind really and I think she does mentor well - my only gripe is her obvious bias in the singoffs for certain acts |
