October 16th 2002 was the first appearance of Chas! She arrived for Emmerdale's 30th anniversary as a guest at the non wedding of Marlon and Tricia.. (the love of Marlon's life number1 )

Can you believe we've endured her for 10 years? Have you changed opinion on her over her time? Do you think she'll last another 10 years, or just one more episode?

I've always loved Chas. I think she is great. Okay people belittle her for dominating scenes of late but her acting with Carl, Aaron and Diane in some scenes during her time are amazing.

I like her because she is brassy and loud but can also show emotion. There is much for people to derride about her and I am sure that may be the intention of this thread but I hope I can bring a balance.

I used to like Chas, but have gone right off her with this Cameron storyline. Perhaps it is her that gets killed off !

A couple of years ago she was easily one of my favourite ED characters. I'm almost sick of the sight of her now the way she seems to be swallowing ED whole. She needs a very long break.

I like her. She is a tart with a heart. Shes a much better dingle than the likes of Mandy. They should bring back Tina, even if it is with a new actress. Has she ever met her half sister Belle.

Chas was a brilliant character. I really felt for her when she tried to mend her relationship with her son and had to witness him self-destruct without being able to help him because he kept pushing her away and was under the bad influence of Hazel. Now that she's been "blackburned", she's not the character liked anymore.

I loved Chas to, but like most she is annoying me recently maybe way to much screen time, and she does have it coming but I hope not death.

Terrible actress. Can't stand that silly smile she has.

Can't believe it's 10 years today! I Love Chas, she's established herself as one of Emmerdale's main characters and i'm glad she's taking centee stage for the 40th

I think she is best with Carl :'( surely I'm not the only one who wants them together again?

I do like Chas but she has been over-used this year, hopefully if she doesnt die tomorrow she'll settle in the background again once this whole affair thing blows over...Or maybe they'll have her go stay with Aaron for a bit so Lucy can take a well deserved break.

Chas is in my top 5 favourite characters in emmerdale so I'll be gutted if she dies!

I like the character but it's getting a bit unbelievable that every man in Emmerdale is obsessed with her.

i used to like her, but am so fed up of her voice at this stage, prefer Charity over her a hundred times!

I don't think any soap uses a character as much as Emmerdale uses Mrs.Spencer
