Yeah maybe, It says reserve and collect not available - please check instore, which possibly means not all stores will have stock today.
Update to this post.
Just looked on Comet site and collect in store option said available for collection on 22nd Oct for my local store and 23rd Oct for other stores a bit further away.

Once connections were made,it only took five minutes to get up and running. Pre-install,I did have one concern, and that was the user interface would not be sharp on my 46" Samsung. No worries,it is pin sharp. Having been fortunate to have been a YouView trialist, I must say the <free time> box is so much better. And I really like the design of the box!

Question, is catchup stuff available in HD? Does DD5.1 work over HDMI?

Thanks

Upload them to a free photo sharing site and post the links. afaik you can't attach photos directly to posts on this site. You do realise that until a few more get installed you will be pestered for all sorts of info

Looks like catchup is not available so soon after install. Sorry, but I don't have a clue regarding DD5.1 as I only use the TV speakers.

Hang on I'm confused, so the main reason for buying it over other freesat PVRs isn't currently working? Can't you go back in the epg and play anything from yesterday for example?

Thanks

Should be, BBC and ITV, CH4 and CH5 promised later.

There should be some way of checking your box is connected to your network in the menus somewhere.

As to 5.1 the answer is yes, see post 42 in this thread.

If posters wanting ask questions would check this thread first to at least let bampsam get to find his way round the new box.

Any news on when supplies may reach the independants? It seems a little frustrating that Humax (who I confess to being a fan of) are being Apple-esque with their distribution rules...

Post indicate John Lewis and Currys both have (or had) stocks. Probably not your local stores though , Humax Direct clearly don't have the delay of supplying retail branches.

I've just called Currys and they still don't have stock at all. The lady said to "wait up to 30 days".

I think not. I know that's not actually what will happen, but I've cancelled and ordered direct from Humax.

Delivery due tomorrow.

It's mighty annoying as satbuyer have the best price (I've seen so far) but seemingly are having to wait for all the majors to be supplied before they get stock. Grrr...

All looks nice, but can't justify £279 for a nicer looking EPG, my Foxsat HDR is less than 3 months old.

I expect to get one sometime tommorow, if you wait till I can install it I can try some for you. I have 2TB hard disc (USB3) -NTFS with SD .ts and HD .ts files from a Foxsat-hdr and some .ts 1080p24 from blu-ray with ac3 audio (at original bitrate). I can probably find a .mkv somewhere on the net to try.

Can also try streaming from same drive connected to laptop using TwonkyMedia.

It might take a while to figure out the UI though

Bampsam appears to be only poster so far with a working installed box and may not have the hardware available.
