Hypocrites
There's so much poison and daggers around. I've said it before and ill say it again
So many people slate James. Every little piece of him and its a constant torrent all the time. Same with Christopher, he gets it even worse. People's excuse? 'They signed up for the show, so they know what their getting themselves in for'. So that allows you to be nasty does it? I imagine that most of them check these forums once in a while to see the general feel and reading stuff like this day in day out about yourself. It's horrible. It's not even about the music anymore, it's personal viscous attacks. Chris for example, don't get me wrong i don't like him or his music but some of the insults. Geeeez. The whole 'orange' thing was funny at first when it was light hearted but now it's nothing more than and I don't say this lightly, cyber bullying. Constant attacks at his 'fakeness' and even his nan. Not on at all These threads are a bottomless pit of nastiness and I know I'm going to get shit loads of comments saying how wrong I am and how right you are on their ignorant high horses but I don't care. I know it's not everyone but its a high enough majority to to give DS forum users a bad name. Hence the James Twitter incident, which to be fare, I agree with him 100% |

Solution. Keep out of those threads that offend. I don't think it's up to you to call people out and call them cyber bullies.

So because the path they want to go down just happens to be in the public eye, they have to tolerate bullying? What a farse of a world we live in then

Fake your personality, fake your nerves, fake the shakes, hide your cruise ship past, Overact like an infant in a school nativity and spray yourself bright orange and you're gonna get some criticism. He knows he wasn't good enough to get anywhere without the theatrics. He should expect people to see through his act.

We're on a FORUM discussing a show they are on. We're bound to discuss acts that we dislike. There's just as much positivity as their is negativity on here. If you don't like it, stick to the appreciaton section. If you're in the public eye, you're going to get slated. Everyone knows this. TXF has aired for nine years now, if the acts are still unaware and/or unprepared of the criticism they WILL receive whilst they're on the show, then they shouldn't be going on it in the first place. This is a bit like going on the soap forum and moaning at FMs who criticise the actors acting... it's to be expected. They're on our TV screens to entertain us. If we don't like what they're doing, we're entitled to say so - it's what a discussion board is all about, isn't it? If they don't like that, it's easy to ignore. If they can't ignore it, then, like I said above, they shouldn't go on the show in the first place. |

There is an appreciation forum just above this one where posters can talk about how amazing everything and everyone is and post about fluffy kittens, sparkly rainbows and juicy lollipops without having to read any criticism at all.

Here we go again. I'm not sure what the OP hopes to achieve, to slap everyone's legs until they behave themselves?
There seems to be a sort of unofficial movement on the internet at the moment, perhaps emboldened by the recent trend for the prosecutions of death threat Facebook trolls, the 'outing' of internet bullies, and the closure of pirate download sites. The new emphasis for the 'shouldn't be allowed' internet moralist is the wholesale clean-up of the internet. Out of this, no bad words are allowed in a forum, and free speech is slowly on the way out. "If you can't post something nice, post nothing at all!" will I'm sure be the new mantra. Just look what a home-made video uploaded to Youtube did with the fanatical muslims. Here we are, watching a bunch of wannabe chancers in a trivial reality entertainment show, each of them greedy for instant fame and money, some with dubious backstories, vanities and sullen personalites, but while we can say what we like about them in private or down the pub they should be afforded the same reverence online as a prophet or there'll be mass protest. Respect prophets and profits y'all. I've seen far worse said about contestants in previous years of X Factor, and even they were nothing compared to Big Brother, but there really does seem to be an emerging zero tolerance towards the usual rough & tumble of forums like this, so that there's at least 2 of these nannying threads each day. |

For those that complain about nastiness on DS,I strongly recommend you stay away from Youtube, Twitter, Facebook...indeed pretty much any other forum and discussion medium for the show because it gets far worse than anything ever written on DS.
Perhaps I have been desensitised but I have no idea what people are complaining about on here. |

I think celebrities do open themselves up for criticism as well as praise, but I agree with the OP that the personal insults are not necessary or excusable. People here get carried away because they egg each other on, if it was just a water cooler discussion at work nobody would say the nasty things they do on the internet.

I checked your posting history and all you seem to do is post like Jahmene's PR executive, policing the forum. There's always been people like you, friends or family, who imagine they can come here and tackle any negative said about the contestant. Of course you're wasting your breath, thank God you are, otherwise the forum would be policed by bolshy representatives of each contestant until we could only ever post praise.

I have never said people have to praise jahmene . I've often said people are entitled to their opinion . I get defensive when people start numerous making things up about him. People seem to get personal and there is no need for it
