Looks like they're going to try and close the roof and play the game tonight after all. Will take up to an hour though.

ED should be safe!

is there a possibility that the live episode switches to ITV2 followed by the behind the scenes show if the footy gets postponed ,

Emmy will always be on ITV1, unless, for contractual reasons, ITV have to show the footie on ITV1...

Yep, another pitch inspection at 8.45.

I loved it earlier when Chiles asked the panel to debate the difference between 'heavy rain' and a 'downpour' Roy Keane's face was a picture.

They just don't have a clue what to do when it all goes off script do they? Des Lynam wouldn't have been knocked off his stride like that.

Off the BBC live text of the postponed match

My mum will be very happy. The Emmerdale live episode can go ahead. I wonder if they'll mention the score. I imagine Carl/Declan/Alan/Cameron/whoever will probably reference it with their dying breath.
