I am going for fake. My reasoning being he had no such nerves all the years he was on cruise ships and when he was being spoken to by Dermot he forgot to shake until Gary mentioned his nerves. I do not buy his act at all. Not one bit.

With all the negative vibe surrounding chris ..he will be aware of the negativety about him , surely it will make him glow more and send his nerves into meltdown
