Not got it - but I feel like we should be able to work it out from "Steven would have been." Give us a day! We can get this...

EDIT: I don't think it's right... but I'm now thinking along the lines of "people who weren't kept on after failing as a PM."

Which is very complicated, and like I said, probably not right. But Steven survived as a failed PM, so he's now exempt.

Yasmina, Nick, Ellie, Ifti et al never PMed a loss to survive. Same's true of Bilyana, though, and she's not on the list, so that doesn't work. Meanwhile, Alexa didn't survive her first failure, and she's not on the list. So it's not that! It must, surely, be something to do with project managing, though. Surviving losses?

Maybe it's to do with the seat they're in. But it can't be, because two seats in double-firings. Aggh! Very cunning, whatever it is. I'm sure I'll kick myself.

That thought had occured to me, but why wouldn't Kate, Stella, Joanna etc. be on there. Grr... so confusing!

That said - David's exempt, too, now, and he's not PMed yet. Patrick's exempt and has. Of the two, I feel like David is probably the clue.

Right, what do we know...

- If you survive a loss as PM, you're out of the running. None of these people have lost as PM and carried on.
- Being in the boardroom seems basically fine. Yasmina was, Nick was, Ellie was, Claire was several times.

Although, on that first point, Tim lost as PM once, didn't he? But Adele just walked off. Nobody got fired that week. So he was still never in the firing line as PM. Maybe it's... something to do with choosing the right people to come into the boardroom? Something to do with getting other people fired?

But what would that have to do with all the PMs being fired?

This is a very difficult one, George!

Ooh, rwebster, you are very close, I think you're going to get it soon. Tim, Ellie and Ifti are the biggest clues...

Nope! I feel like I'm so, so close, which makes it all the more painful to admit it...

...but, I'm stumped! D: Good work, sir.

All right, I'll tell you... it's in a spoiler though, so carry on trying to work it out without peeking if you like! I'll forgive you for not getting it, it's a bloody difficult one...

Aaahh!! Of course it is. Well played, sir! Very good.

I had a few ideas for other riddles as I've been trying to work out that last one, if anyone's interested? Will take a few minutes to work out all the candidates.

I was disappointed you didn't get that, you were getting so close I really thought you were going to!

Can't wait to hear yours!

Arrrg, yeah, I know! So did I! And on reflection... Nick Holzherr! The whole of series 8 was a massive clue.

I don't know if this one's quite as cryptic as yours. It's the easier of the two ideas, I think, but here we go. What connects this lot?

Ben Leary
Raj Dhonota
James Max

Mani Sandher
Paul Tulip

Jadine Johnson

Phil Taylor
Mona Lewis

Melissa Cohen
Joanna Riley

Natasha Scribbins
Helen Milligan

Ricky Martin

Hibah Ansary
Emma Walker
Kirsty Cleaver

Haya al Dlame

You are right about mine.

So far, I'm having no luck with yours. Is there any significance of Adam's name being in brackets, and Sophie having her job title after her name?

Adam's brackets are significant, because he's a sort of half-example. Briefly considered putting another candidate in brackets, too, but I didn't.

No significance whatsoever to Dr. Sophie Kain, meanwhile. I just really like her job title. Made for some amazing captions: http://i56.tinypic.com/11cgt8y.jpg

But yes - ignore that! It's a red herring. Sophie's no more significant than Duane Bryan, Shibby Robati, anyone else.

Not being able to get further with the one from rwebster (will have another look later today).

Anyway, the hint for mine riddle would be: series 5 is the place to be (to solve it easily)

The one bit of progress I have made on yours, is that unless I'm mistaken...

Spoiler

Not sure how it's significant - different numbers of each stat - but I'll keep looking at series 5.

Hint for mine...

Very close. If you look at a certain statistic in each series, then it will add up (literally).

Another hint: for series 5, the likes of Mona and Lorraine could have made the list, but Howard not.
