Why has this thread become a football forum???
Who cares about the football? I cannot stand it even if it is England playing.

Best game of football I watched tonight . I watched the rain pour down endlessly while the referee kept throwing the ball to check if it could bounce on the rain-soaked pitch . Epic game.

I know. Amazing.... You had to laugh at the presenters trying to pass the time though!

Lol true . You had to also laugh at Roy Keane rightly calling the referee a "clown" . You don't need Specsaver glasses to see that the pitch was clearly flooded with water, therefore no football match could be played .

It was very funny indeed

I tried playing football in a rain-soaked pitch before, you end up moving in slow-motion like Neo from The Matrix . It would've been funny to see the likes of Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard playing slo-mo football .

I bet the referee had the common sense to pack a spare of underpants though. Who was the bigger clown?

I'd be inclined to say they're just as clown-ish as each other! As well as the person responsible for the roof. It made for a night of laughs though so who really cares

Keane was joking that no-one had enough stuff to stay the extra night and that he would turn up tomorrow in the same clothes or something along those lines.

I don't know why they can't just put the football on ITV 2, everyone is on digital now aren't they?

Do you agree that the same could be said for putting Emmerdale on ITV2. Both are live events and both will gain high viewerships.

I suppose it could go there, seems a bit of a come down though. An important live episode shouldn't really be shunted to a lesser channel.

It's not like it's a really important match is it? Not like it's the word cup.
