With Emmerdale being live, how would they do a death? They can't do a car crash, explosion or fight as all these need co-ordinating...

You don't need to see the actual dying, killing, however it happens, just the body.

What's with the spoiler tags OP

Anyway, everything you mentioned could happen live or recorded. They can do just about any death they like EG as you alluded to Bradley in EE died and that was an action piece.

I think Edna will die after being punched in the face by Charity

Meh, I dunno, felt worth tagging, even though there's no spoilers haha

I agree, I hope it's not any of the people who are already injured, I actually suspect it might be Declan, due to the scene outside Home Farm

A stabbing could work - a joke knife (where the blade retracts into the handle on contact) and a bag/patch of 'blood' under bulky clothing which will split open when in contact with the handle. A blow to the head could be done as well, although a sound effect would have to be added for the actual contact as they'd have to use something soft for the contact. Being pushed off a building would work (see EastEnders) as well and someone could be shot - if it happens before a break, the blood/injury can be added during the adverts.

Do you work in the industry? You really should if not because I think what you're saying could really work.

No - but thanks, I'll put my name forward for special effects.

It would be music to my ears if it were Gennie going but very unlikely. It will be down to some very good acting in a live episode.

Paul Verhoeven is being called in to provide his infamous blood packs. I suspect Edna will unload a light machine gun into Alan Turner.

Well, he still does Orange voiceovers I think

I thought he left to do more stage work? He hate being in the limelight did he not?

I was hoping they'd have pursued the idea of a flood in the village. I'm sure the executive producer mentioned that they had thought about it previously.

What's to say that the body is that of a current character? Personally I think it's someone that went missing during the previous live episode
