PlayStation Allstars Battle Royale
The beta for this lands today. It will be available to all Vita users, and PS3 users with PS+ (all other PS3 owners can get their hands on it next week.
I had a go on this at Eurogamer, using Vita : PS3 cross-play and was pleasantly surprised. I had dismissed this as something I wasn't interested in, but it was a lot better than I expected. I'll be giving it another go when it hits the store. |

I had a go at Eurogamer too, but I still need convincing. Hopefully the beta (or a full blown demo) will help with that.

It looks like both versions have disappeared from the PS3 store completely.

I had the beta and it was very chaotic on screen with other players - kept missing where I was.
Didn't enjoy it at all. |

They need to do a close zoom on your character to start with so you can tell which one is you and then zoom out just before the action starts. There also needs to be something much more apparent on screen than colours to immediately indentify your character at all times. I didn't enjoy this beta one bit and haven't played it since I first downloaded it a month ago. |

Getting this today, i'm doing halves with my brother
So that while he plays the PS3 version i'll join him online while playing the Vita version Which is just another reason why cross-buy is so great, if we both wanted to play blacks ops 2 together (while in separate places) we'd need to lay down another £40 |

I've just picked it up, no brainer for me as I've got a Vita and fighting games are the only ones my Missus likes, plus the reviews coming over the last few days (of the full game, not the Beta everyone's been so grumpy about) have almost all been extremely positive.

Just bought today, brilliant fun with 4 other people. The game has a good mix of pick up and play but is also quite deep for combo's and movesets for their respective games.

This game is shockingly easy to platinum, after one sitting (albeit a six hour one) i've literally done early trophy except for the completing the arcade with each character
Still its incredibly fun to play and i doubt my friends who own playstation will get it so if anyone wants to play add me thomas2400 I'll mostly be focusing on the goals on the Vita version, but it's cross play so we'll be able to play even if you have it on PS3 |

I was looking at getting this, if I understand this correctly, if I buy on the PS3 the Vita version is free to download I presume?
The game title and the game looks so cheesy, but looks fun so I guess it'll be ok. |

I got the PS3 disc version, once you get your online pass you can then access a free downloadable version for the Vita, it's very simple and painless, I suspect even more so if you DL the PS3 version from the store. Just make sure you don't buy the Vita version first by mistake! |

So after being out a month or so, what are long term impressions? It's only £17.86 at shopto.net at the moment for PS3 and Vita version and I'm considering it

Worth a punt at that price.
I enjoy it - especially in local multiplayer. The fighting mechanic is good fun. It will never be more than a bit of fun, but it does that well. |

we got this today and my son and I have fun battling one another. However I tried online and it seems a bit flaky. Sometimes says it cant find server, other times it finds 4 players and goes to the scene, only to say it lost connection to host.
Is it my end, or many have this problem ?? |
