Haven't watched Emmerdale since 2009 but good luck to them all tonight. I've given my reasons previously as to why it's not the same show I used to watch religiously.

The best stunts and shocks in my opinion have been delivered to us not by Corrie or EastEnders but by the cast of Emmerdale down the years. In the past the show has been highly underrated. My opinions on the changes made in recent years have even led cast members to speak out and personally defend their show by posting stuff on here which I find quite admirable where as cast members of other shows are happy enough to keep turfing out the same rubbish and still get paid a fortune at the same time

Nowadays I merely watch the odd Corrie episode having stopped watching EastEnders for good in 2011.

I'd like to think they'll pay homage to Emmerdale Farm and the sheep that were culled for the show we have today

We all know what happened with EE. The only mistake I noticed with Corrie was that during the candle lit scenes you could see background artists behind the camera men walking around on set
