Emmerdale Best Live Soap Episode?
Could Emmerdale have pulled off the best live soap episode?! I think so.
It didn't have the drama of the Corrie 50th but made up for it in other ways. I was upbeat in a way, fast paced and funny at times! Do we think it was the best compaired to: The two Corries, Eastenders and the two Bills, plus Two Pints of Lager (Not a soap, but live ep non the less!) |

It was the best live episode by a mile. Corrie was style over substance and EE was just terrible full of mistakes and wooden acting.

The Bill's one was awesome tbh. I Think the other 3 soaps ones were diffrent. and i think it depends on the storyline leading up to it.
Thought the Corrie build up was the best, but dales acting was better then corries. But EE's storyline was best over all. The best thing about EE's was no adverts. Tonights sucked for that. |

Definitely. I'm not a frequent watcher but the performances were actually very good.
I didn't notice any nerves either, all true professionals. I was especially impressed by Gennie (expected her to be more like Fiz from Corrie), Chas and Carl. They all did a fab job. |

Emmerdale was the best post-2000 live soap episode. Amazing. |

I much preferred EE's purely for the storyline, CS for the spectacle of the tram crash but I thought ED's was boring and predictable. I only watched this episode of ED because it was live and even I knew it would be Karl who would die! None of the acting was excellent either, sorry but that's just my opinion.

Eastenders had the best lead up to the live episode and the acting was so amazing and Lacey was so good in it

And Eastenders storyline for it had the whole nation talking who killed Archie Mitchell

^^^ I don't know how you can say the acting wasn't excellent. There was some dodgy people, but the main players did a great job.
Not to mention both birth scenes put Fiz from Corrie to shame, she was abysmal. lol |

I rathered Corrie & EastEnders' live episodes but I've barely watched Emmerdale these past few years.
Great performances by the actors but the stories were too contrived, I wasn't on the edge of my seat and there was no shock factor/surprise. |

Definitely prefered EE and Corrie's, although that said the outcome of the EE live was particularly disappointing and wasn't worth the months of tedium that followed after...

I thought the acting was very good, I didn't notice any fluffed lines, except a slight hesitation from Betty, but to be honest the storylines just left me cold! Too much predictability and re-hashed plots we have seen before, so it was as good but no better than any of them really!

Didn't you like Eastenders live episode in 2010 and did you like Lacey Turner and Jake Wood and Barbara Windsor and Steve McFadden and Charlie Brooks and Samantha Womack and Rita Simons?
