Tenants becoming owners:
Myra McQueen talked about paying the rent, yet when there were plans to demlish the house, she said the council had offered to buy the house for more than it's value.

People wih serious debt problms having substantial savings a short while later:
Zainab gave Syed £12k from savings, despite Masood being in massive debt not so long ago.

Disappearing mortgages:
Whenever someone sells a property they seem to pocket the proceeds and the mortgage is paid off by magic e.g.
Steve MacDonald and the Rovers
Jason Grimshaw and his flat

Going from broke to millionaire and back again in 12 months:
Roxy Mitchell
Cindy Cunningham

I know it's fiction and entertainment, and sometimes reality needs to be skewed to make storylines work and keep up the pace of the show, but for those of us with money worries it can be a little grating!

Yeah I agree. I thought roxy had lost all her money but she seems to have some now to lend to Christian. Bizarre!

She's been dishing out Amy's money...she lent some to Alfie earlier this year.

I cant understand how Roo is renting the Braxton's house to them as she was only renting too and subletting is generally prohibited!

Also how like in most soaps they're all struggling for money, like eastenders, yet they can all afford to keep eating cafe breakfast/lunch/dinner, they all drink all the time, and they use the laundrette, if i were struggling for money you surely wouldn't have enough to spend on things like that?

And Chas buying her share of the pub? Where did she all of a sudden get her money from? Last I checked she's only ever been a barmaid or secretary for Paddy!
