keys chucking especially in the bowl/floor, doors slamming, amira worming her way in between chryed again, Christian shouting 'oi' at some point, hey we might even get one of them removing their wedding rings, maybe even a classic lip rub and dhaal hitting (hopefully the object that Christian shall use on Danny - 'I do not condone violence but... could make good Tv:' /sorry
Lol, me to especially the crying /angst whore.

Personally, I would have liked Amira to have got an exciting high powered career rather than a fiance, if EE are serious about this personality transplant thing that applies to other characters.

I felt totally cheated, I must admit.

I have to believe that the spoiklers are misleading and that JP's interview was given from Christian's very blinkered perspective. What we saw with our own eyes on Monday/ Tuesday last week was very clear. We are not idiots. And we were watchng extremely closely. Syed was in pieces, completely torn apart by guilt over his betrayal. The idea that he backed out of admitting to sleeping with Danny after seeing Christian's reaction.... ugh, unfortunately I can buy this because Syed has proved himself to be a coward. However I can't accept that he would then have felt able to go on as he did, not just marrying Christian, but marrying him with a look on his face which was open, glowing and full of nothing but love, happiness and certainty of his readiness to commit himself to the man he loves.

During the wedding ep, either:
a) Syed was telling Christian the truth
or
b) Syed was lying and has miraculously gone from the worst liar in the history of soap to the best - to the point that not even those writing for, directing or acting his character knew the truth.
As you say, despite this all evidence is pointing in the other direction. I'll hope for the least bad scenario, i.e. that Chryed's final weeks on screen descend into ridiculous miscommunication-related farce. Maybe Leyton could come back for a cameo appearance. The alternative prospect, that we're about to see all continuity and everything special about Chryed, wrecked - certainly beyond any kind of last minute Julia's Theme repair - for the sake of a week's worth of draama, absolutely disgusts me.

You know it's bad when you get all excited at the sight of Syed packing clown shirt because it's a little part of him you recognise.”

All this.

BIB: When Christian was promising to live his life "openly and honestly", Syed stood there looking him straight in the eye and didn't even flinch. If it turns out Syed was lying, that'll prove your theory right. I don't know about the director but I can't believe either Pete or Marc would have Syed not show even a flicker of guilt.

She's engaged to someone she met at the earliest March. So she's known them a maximum of 7 months, probably less.

Sure that marriage will be a great success.

Yes, a career would be much more empowering. But all Amira ever wanted is someone to pay for things and buy her stuff. So if this guy does that, that's good enough for her I guess. Pretty sad existence. Not that I care after what she's done and felt no remorse for.

This is true. Lets hope he's rich.
Maybe she could marry Danny.
I still don't get how Syed and Christian would know nothing of this man when he would be in their daughter's life.
Silly me, it's EE and they can make it up as they go along. There was probably a conversation, off screen, or on a wednesday.

Oh vf, SO this.

BIB: absolutely. Shame on tptb if this atrocity turns out to be the case.

I don't give a toss about Amira  but it really pisses me off that after swanning off around the world and leaving Chryed to look after (and bond with) Yasmin, she suddenly decides she wants her back fulltime (presumably cos her new bloke can afford to pay for a fulltime nanny) and Chryed have to leave their home and move halfway across the country, away from Syed (and Yasmin)'s family. Why can't Amira's bloke move to London so Yasmin can have her daddies, grandparents and uncles in her life? Bloody Amira, selfish bint to the end

Too true - he'd have been muttering 'bottle tops' and 'raccoons' quite audibly even.

I'm really annoyed that Chryed might leave because of Amira's decision.

They managed to keep her consistently in character so they can do it if they try! But then, I doubt those sketchy dimensions were hard to stick to..

This is all so bad, that we've got to ENJOY the awfulness.

Black comedy ending is now what I'm after.

The only bit which bothered me slightly was on Friday: Syed had a bit of an Ambiguous Look™ during their 4 second first dance. On the upside, it's perfectly likely that he's feelng conflicted about having this happy moment just as he's ruined his family financially and has been told by his dad that he's a useless piece of cr*p who has been resented since the day he was born. Every cloud.

Hello all at midnight!

Welcome to Carrot1

Thanks Jenn,
for the screencaps, as always and what would be without you? xx much love.

Spoiklers are evil things and soap mags too. Thanks though, to KBambi and Elphie for your valliant efforts.

Surreal, totally amazing post earlier. Sorry for not quoting but do agree with it all. xx

I do not give in, that easily, my own past life is a shit storm compared to Chryed = therefore - here to the bitter end. Or bittersweet end. We shall see. x

Thanks for the spoilers

I think it's pretty much confirmed that Syed did sleep with Danny.

Why EastEnders, why?

Oh well, I'll always have the lovely memories of 2009/10.

This is the Chryed I will take with me when they leave, and the Chryed I intend on celebrating this weekend.

We've come this far, we've got to see it through to the end.

No matter what happens we had a beautiful original story that we all fell in love with, don't let anything taint that.

And we are fans of two amazingly talented and amazingly lovely guys.

And we have made amazing friendships through the fandom.

I regret nothing!! xx
