So it's a hodge podge of a storyline..............

Syed deciding to leave would make the most sense but this would then mean that it has to be Christian who fights for their love once more and decides to then leave with him. when really it should be Syed this time seeing as it's his mess that has caused all these problems. Christian keeps on forgiving Syed only to be left disappointed so I think Syed needs to be the one this time to show how much Christian means to him otherwise I fear that Christian will just keep on getting hurt by Syed and having to forgive him.

Totally this, I think it will be very different. This is spoilers after all, we KNOW how they work.

It says in earlier spoilers about Syed fearing for Christian (or words to that effect) and Danny being smug and "wanting him to pay". (ETA: thanks surreal for the roundup of spoilers!) That COULD mean good old threat of physical danger and angst (possibly even including Qadim somehow), or at least some really nasty financial/juridical threats (don't ask me how exactly I'm about as good at that as EE themselves :sleep: but it could happen? Possibly?) and that is why Christian is heartbroken, he thinks he has to go away/stay away from Syed or whatever to keep Syed and Yasmin safe and Syed tries to persuade him to stick by and they'll face it together (and " wondering about life with Christian" is really more about wondering what to do with the threat, in whatever form it comes??). And in the end it could lead to sorting things properly? Wouldn't be the first time spoiler-wording is a bit... shall we say off? (Btw. I totally think someone at the PO-office is having a giggle at this every week :sleep

I don't know anything of course, but it COULD be something along these lines, perhaps, and as you say, dear Elphie, we have no details at all (and what's the bet it'll be some "further storyline details have been withheld" for at least a few of these eps? ). Whatever it actually is, there will be more to it than these spoilers say, I'm sure.

This is true of course, but we don't know what kind of heart to heart they have. For all we know Syed could think that by setting Christian free to love someone who won't give him so much heartache it would be the best thing to do. We don't know either if Amira has any plans, if she's deciding to take her, etc..........

Hi surreal. I don't think this can be true. The way I read it, it seems that they made the decision at the same time as Marc leaving. or rather, they told Johnny he was going to leave. They wouldn't have been filming October in February. I just think it's a hodge podge because, well, I haven't got an alternative theory.

Also, we don't know if Christian believes what Danny has to say about Syed and their brief time together. We're assuming Christian won't believe him but we can't be sure after everything that's gone on.

Christian IS over-powering at times, I thought this as he ran his hand through Syed's hair several times at the start of yesterday's episode, just like Zainab ran her hand through Syed's hair as she lent him Kamil's savings.

I just watched the Nitin clip. My God, imagine a father saying to his son that "from the moment you were born, you wedged yourself between us." What a horrible thing to say, about the one event that should make you, as a father, prouder than anything.

Poor Syed. From birth, hated and resented by his dad, smothered and over-mothered by Zainab, always in the middle, either a complete sh*t or a little god. Your heart breaks for him.

That being said, I have been with him all along, understanding the inability to face himself and the others with his failures. I think a person like that courts failure, is truly 'damaged goods'. He is a mess and in a mess. And I completely got why he was trying desperately to sort it without telling anyone. And, as with coming out, Christian perhaps underestimates now, as he did then, the degree of venom that comes Syed's way. There is a piece he just doesn't understand.

But now he is right. Syed does need to grow up and sort this. I just don't understand what is happening with the storyline. Why on earth would EE take the first gay wedding on a soap and rubbish it? I'm at the point where I want Christian to leave Syed, and for me to get there is saying something.

I think the returning face is either Danny, Amira, or maybe Qadim. I think the end is correct - Syed needs to leave to be with Yasmin. Probably. It is just heartbreaking and so unnecessary. If they just had to do it, at least this could have been done, and then the wedding, with everyone somewhat or all reconciled.

Yes, maybe one of the issues they need to sort. Danny was right there - he is nearer in age to Zainab (1 - 4 years) then to Syed (14 -15 years).
