I think Hollyoaks or doctors will be the next soap to go live but do you think Eastenders will have one for the 30th, corrie for 55 and emmerdale for its 45

lol i cant imagine doctors doing a live ep, isnt it on at 2pm or something weird like that? target audience is the retired and stay at home mums? thrilling

I think EE will do another one for 30 years, but it'll have to be something other than a murder reveal surely...maybe Dots final episode...

Well it takes all sorts I suppose, do you think they'd do a live ep? I guess you could always tape it and watch it later...you know, when it isnt live....

Or perhaps they'd move something around the schedule and put a live Doctors ep on when more people would actually be able to watch it?

I think live episodes should be rested for a while. Yes there's a buzz that comes with them but the novelty would wear off if they're done too often.

I think Eastenders will do one for their 40th which is 2025 and for their 50th which is 2035 and I think Emmerdale should do one in 10 years time for their 50th and I think Eastenders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale will do one for their 75th and their 100th

No only the BIG 3 will do Live episodes. Casualty & Holby might but cant think of anyother Drama/Soap doing one.

If they can have Lola giving birth live with Billy and the olympic torch why not have a live episode for the 30th?

Emmerdale actively celebrated their 35th anniversary so I can see EE doing something. The 40th will of course be a big event too if they make it to that milestone.

I think they will make it to that milestone. I think in a few years they should let the Eastenders fans/viewers audition for the role of executive producer

General Hospital is 50 years old in the US next year.

How about a live ep then, with Cheryl Cole making her debut as Executive Producer with Will.i.am?

She'd bin off the likes of the current EP's favourites like Tea, Todd, Sonny and Carly in a big disaster as part of the live episode, and bin off Luke and Laura in a Carl King plot not long after they get wed again.

Nadine Coyle would arrive as Todd's ex-girlfriend, who'll be blamed for his death, same with Luke and Laura, even though Cheryl's character does the deed because they tell her she can't sing.

Then Elspeth Ballantyne arrives as Cheryl's mum whose hubby ran off with Viki Lord (a reason to bring back Viki for Elspeth and Cheryl to have fun with before binning her off)- and the new CEO of the hospital, and also the new owner of Manning Enterprises. Fiona Spence arrives as Elspeth's sister who wants rid of Viki, the new Spider-Man arrives as Cheryl's brother, Will.i.am arrives as Cheryl's husband, and Girls Aloud come in to diss One Life to Live via Viki (the EP's of that have ruined GH, so GA can ruin them) and Nadine at turns.

EE turns 30 in the same year Hollyoaks will turn 20 although Hollyoaks might do something next year for its 18th possibly with it being a teen soap.

I dont think they would ever do that, you need some experience in the television world and getting fans as EP would just cause problems.
