Imagine if he won or got a record contract. Even though I believe he has the best voices the competition has EVER had, do you think he could be successful?

I'm sure he'll be given a covers album that will sell moderately well after being released for mothers day.

it will depend on the production and how it will highlight the good qualities of his voice.

Given the right material I can see him being really successful.

It really depends if people want a female Mariah in their CD collection, i wouldnt buy his CD if they would sound how he has sung songs so far.. i dont doubt he has some pipes as Jake said on twitter!

Its like all ex contestants the odd 1 does well..
but most drift into obscurity..
he does well on youtube but there a difference between people watching a free tune and buying on itune..

If they give him the right songs instead of an album of covers then, yes, very well.

Marian Carey is a man and jahmene a woman. Colour me confused.

Of course. At a car boot sale.

probably will end up just being another joe mcelderry.. at least with joe (even though i can't stand his music) theres a certain warmth to him, whereas jamehne has this awkwardness about him which may seem endearing now but could ultimately lead to his downfall

To be honest i think he would flop very badly but good luck to him.

Just because all the other males have flopped doesn't technically guarantee that Jahmene would too. He has a better/more interesting voice than a lot of those males who did flop. I think he will go into the 'soul' direction, I'd be surprised if that doesn't appeal to a number of people.

I hope you mean 'male Mariah'

I see where you are coming from, but he may not do that kind of music.

If he stopped 'over-singing' he might be okay...he was my favourite in his first audition....but I have not liked him at bootcamp, Judges houses or the lives...too much flowery over the top frilly vocals.

I like vocal acrobatics but only if they sound nice....

But surely it's more important that he does well here, in his home country where his fans vote to keep him in the programme.

I think he definately has the strongest male voice. HOWEVER, so did Joe McEldery. Nans will buy his albums.

I think to be successfull from XFactor its all about the teen vote as most adults wouldnt take your music seriously. Hot boys or strong in your face girls from X Factor do the best ie JLS One Direction, Girls Aloud (Popstars but the same thing)

Or be Leona Lewis....

you know what.... Who knows LOL

Yes definitely given the right material.
