I think he is a brilliant character. And when he is in serious, emotional scenes I think the actor who plays him is amazing. My fav character and actor in EE

I like him! Don't watch EE much, but when I do, like to see how he's getting on! I think he's a really good actor.

I'm very rarely impressed by soap actors as for one reason or another, I find the better actors are in film or on stage. However, I've always thought of Nitin Ganatra as the most naturally talented actor in EE, alongside Jake Wood, Steve McFadden, Jamie Borthwick and Rudolph Walker. He always gets overlooked for awards but he's great, can handle comedy and drama equally well. Masood is very believable as a character, and is actually a decent man, which for Enders is rare enough.

Yes, he's a great actor and character with a warm personality but also an edge. Good in serious scenes and also humourous ones.

I love Masood, he gave me the fear when he was shouting at Zainab although I sort of wish he would stop saying she cheated on him/left him for another man, that's not what happened. Damn those writers!!

Nitin is great, incredibly talented actor. He can do anything!

Masood is not great though, a deeply flawed man, which of course makes him a great character.

Masood is not a 'nice guy' he colluded with Phil last year, threatened Yusef with a petrol can, (with some justification, maybe?) left Christian for dead in the street when he'd been beaten up by Qadim's men, and called his son a perversion in the AB last year. All this seems to be forgotten. And in the episodes to come we are going to see his jealous, rotten side.

However, he does admit his flaws, has apologised....and has gone some way to redeeming himself. He is a gambler, (lost over 8 grand in the betting shop with Jane, when he just couldn't stop himself, last year, some of his best scenes ever, I thought). He is both amazing and awful in equal measure.

I do wish Masood would somehow lose his 'nice guy' tag though - that he isn't. He is not a nice guy, he is deep and complex and sometimes very wrong and flawed.

But you'll get no argument from me that he is a great character, and overlooked in the best actor stakes. I have voted for him in the best actor catergory in the soap awards a few times, he is overlooked, but then Steve McFadden is, Adam Woodyatt is, ridiculous that they are also overlooked, so often......in favour of Shane Ritchie.

I do hope EE will one day recognise their best actors, instead of the 'popular' ones.

Very good character and Nitin plays Masood so well... This year has been lighter for the Masoods but it looks the dramatic times are back for them...

Yeah, he was also a bit cold towards Zainab when he told her "dignity Zainab, dignity' when she was crying ( understandably ) at the resturant and has been cold towards his son and Christian at times too.

Nitin is great and definately over-looked as an actor. But then, the Masoods are my favourite family overall.

yeah, he can be cold, I seen a clip of tonight's episode where he is shouting at Syed about Sy coming between him and Zainab since he has been born, it's a shame their relationship probably won't have enough time to be explored fully like Syed & Zainab has, if anything, Masood & Syed has always been more complex.

Agreed. He is by far my favourite actor and character (along with one or two others) on the show. A very natural style of acting which doesn't ever come across as wooden.

I don't agree that he is amazing and awful in equal measures, there is definately more good than bad in him. He deserves an award for putting up with Zainab!

One of the better characters in the show and a great actor . Mas has his flaws but that makes him interesting . His stuff with Jane in the past was great .
In tonight's show he gives Syed both barrels and I can't wait

This is the thing, if Masood has viewed Syed with suspicion since he was a small child, you have to wonder how much Masood and Zainab are to blame for Syed's later behaviour as a teenager - which more or less shapes what you are as an adult, though there's still time to change.

And if you think about it, Christian is also very dominating figure and you could argue that Syed left the arms of one dominating figure - his mother - only to fall into the arms of another, Christian.

Has Syed ever been himself rather than an extension of someone else?

Mine too. He's a great actor.

I thought the script writers were a bit silly though making him accuse Zainab of having another man. Masoud would have known by past experience that it was likely to be Syed who had taken the money.

I think that while Syed has always had the love and approval, putting aside the past few years, of his mother. He has probably always wanted Masoods moreso. I can imagine this much create a lot of pressure for a child/teenage (personally cannot relate as I have always felt loved by my parents)

I do think that both Syed & Tamwar have married people who have many characteristics of their own mother (Freud is dancing in his grave). To me, and I know we have missed the formative years of Syed, but he seems to be someone who has people who have micro-managed his life which Zee being a constant. He hasn't had a lot of time to really find out who he is on his own, and that's so important, but I guess the same could be said for Masood & Zainab as well as they both met when they were very young and have been together all that time.

The stories told in this family are amazing.

When he said she cheated on him,he referred that she went back on his back to remortgage Argee Bhajee. Thats what i thought anyhow. And i think usually writers like to make Masood villain, not Zainab.

On topic,i love Masood. I've a crush on him even though he is old enough to be my dad.

I really like Masood too. He's a flawed man (always more interesting than straight good or bad) who is probably one of the most versatile actors in the soap, as he can do comedy, highly emotional scenes and normal everyday scenes very well.

He has got a side to him that is attractive, look wise. I also think the actor is a nice bloke too. So not such a bad crush really, even with the age gap!

I think he's one of the best actors on the show... if not the best. Great character, too.

Shame he generally doesn't get very much recognition.
