E/dale - The Current Sugdens.
I know the Sugden family weren't the focus of drama this week however for me they have been one of the best things about Emmerdale this week.
I'm loving Victoria at the moment. She's growing up, she thought she was mature but the whole Alex situation has really shaken her up. She has realized what she wants from life and is going out and getting it. She's planning for her future in buying Betty's house, she's connecting with the community that her family has always been at the heart of in her interactions with the likes of Betty and Alan, she's supporting her brother and niece in Andy and Sarah, yet she's having fun with her friend in Amy like at the festival and with Adam. I loved Andy during the birth stuff, it's been a long time since Kelvin has had the chance to play comedy, and I quite like his brief romance with Kerry too. I hope we can finally start putting wife beating/stalking Andy behind us now and move on and see him focus on his kids and family. Diane hasn't been a major player at all but her little scenes have been good. I loved her getting the message about the baby's birth and getting emotional. Her hurt at Chas, yet still concerned, her chats with Ashley and Moira during the week and I loved the scene where Diane brought Victoria back to the pub and warned Chas not to go outside. Oh and we've got a NEW Jack Sugden at last! I must add as I've always seen her as a Sugden, it's been great seeing Katie at the heart of the drama this week. Sammy has always been underrated and she's clearly the new Kathy of the Dales! |

It made me smile when Victoria talked about how much she loved the village. Ma would be proud. |
