Just watched the first episode and there was something missing. Maybe Percy. Hopefully Amanda will restore that menace, rather than it being all about baddie of the week.
Can't remember but was the president of the USA female at the end of season 2 or has he had a very rapid sex change!? Other observations: Nikita looking too thin as usual. Alex looking super hot as usual. |

I don't remember a female president.
I'm sure the president was male last season. OK, there could have been an election in between seasons, but Ryan and the female president were talking as if Ryan convinced *her* to keep Division running instead of cancelling everyone... |

We need Amanda back. She's obviously been building something in the time elapsed, as she's been contacting the agents.
I was a bit disappointed at Nikita going a bit girly-girly when Michael got down on one knee. And I think they'll struggle with Alex's role now she is fully exposed as Alexandra Udinov. It might get a bit repetitive seeing her playing the spoilt rich girl each week. |

Yeah. We know she\s out there with Tasarov, and that she has a black box. And just because this guy refused to work with her, doesn't mean that others refused too... She could have built up her own little army of rogue agents.
Agree about Alex. Not a lot she can do now that she can't do undercover work. |

I didn't enjoy it as much.
What with them not being able to break any rules as such. |

An okay episode, i suppose i was expecting more from the season opener, one thing that's niggling me is Ryan, he's changed since becoming op's manager ( or whatever his title is ) of the new divison, i guess he'll slowly turn into the new Percy and maybe join forces with Amanda ( but thats a guess at this point on my part).

Just watched episode 4. More like the Nikita of earlier seasons.
Good to see Owen and Amanda back in play. I have a feeling Amanda was going to unlock owen's memory so he turned psycho against Nikita and division, as that was the behaviour they implied they suppressed. |

Much, much better this week. They've set up a great deal for future weeks. Amanda's return, Anne, Alex using again and developments in her relationship, Owen coming back and making Nikita's love life back into a triangle, a possible traitor within NuDivision.

Really liked the realisation that Amanda is now in the position that Nikita was in when she was on the outside with a mole. Sonja as the mole! Loved it (can you tell you tell I love this show? ) Love the connection between Berkoff and her, the tension when he was disabling the kill chip. I was thinking from the start that she was the mole, but the fact that she had the kill chip re-activated was a twist I didnt expect. There is no better way to have a saturday morning imo. I needs my Niktia! Bring on the weekend! Grade A.

^what I loved was how they didn't draaaaaaaaagggggggggg the mole storyline out over a whole bunch of eps - which would have gotten old v.v.v.v.quickly ( like how in Chuck he'd be in a sticky situation and need to flash, but wouldn't be able to, so get beat up more, but still wouldn't be able to flash, so be beat up even more, but still wouldn't be able to flash, etc etc for 5min, then flash and deck the baddies # or like in Monk how every 10mins the plot would ground to a halt whilst he did his 5min "weirdo" routine of ordering his m+ms by colour, or pressing the lift button exactly 57 times # whenever a show dillydallies around when the endpoint is clearly there, well I have little patience for such faff - if I could I'd go on a highlight and delete faffing rampage.
But anyway, glad Berkoff realised the risk he was taking by not telling the team the truth, and we also got the NikitaJnr drug thing out in open too. Do we think Division has a limb replacement level and Michael will appear with a high-tec attachment next ep. Also, iirc it wasn't the WHOLE hand that was stuck, wasn't his thumb free ? If so, she might have been able to leave him with that bit, OR was she still psd at him for keeping N.Jnrs drug lapse a secret - nothing lets someone know you don't like them lying to you than cutting off their hand. uch:

The one issue I have about with Michael loosing a his hand is, how it this going to be maintained well. When Felix Gaeta lost his leg on the final season of Battlestar Galactica, it was really really well done, and looked like the character/actor had really lost his leg. As much as I like the drama of episode, I just hope that the loss of his hand will look realistic. With Felix Gaeta on BSG, the character didnt last much longer after he lost his leg, but if Nikita goes on for another season, and hopefully another season after that, it may be difficult to maintain the illusion of his injury. Im sure there are many tricks and camera tricks that will make it look real.

Fingers crossed they go THAT way than the Walking Dead stump+claw which clearly looks like he's just wearing something over his hand - and yes I do realise they couldn't really cut off his hand but with all the special effect people working on the show you'd think they could make it appear that one arm is shorter than the other.

This was a great episode, action packed and tense but with a few laughs thrown in along the way too (particularly loved Nikita's line about 'after having ten showers...' upon finding the picture of Michael's proposal!). More people should be watching this show!! |

Well, the ending of the latest episode hurt:
"You've helped enough!" Ouch! |
