It was an okay start - I thought Ifans underplayed Mycroft but, in the spirit of Elementary, certain characters aren't as expected from other adaptations.
Whilst I have no problem with the change, as this clearly isn't really Sherlock Holmes, I thought it was a rather odd swerve to change Mycroft's occupation from "being the government" to being a two-Michelin Star Chef.

Anyone know when season 2 of Elementary is carrying on here in the UK? The last episode I saw was episode 9. Have any further ones been shown here? If not, when are we getting the rest of the season?

Geektown only has season 2 pt 2 as "February" but no confirmed date as yet.

I was thinking that it would be the later part February (if Geektown is correct). Its only been a week or 2 since shows started up again in the US (after the Christmas break) plus a number of shows will be on break in February due to the Winter Olympic Games.

Mycroft is certain not what i expected but the relationship between Sherlock and Mycroft in Elementery intrigues me.

According to TVwise Elementary will return to Sky Living on February 18th at 9pm

I would post the link but the eejit who wrote the article decided to completely "spoil" the first new episode

Dont you hate it when people do that!

The date and time are correct - I just had an email from Sky Nevermiss reminding me that Season 2 Part 2 starts Tuesday 18th February 2014 at 9pm.

Great return of Elementary last night, with the Knight & Queen case, and Holmes in the Dock. - after the 'shooting'.
With his methods of investigation, questioned too - made for a very, cleverly paced episode.

And Yorkshire Puddings....

the amount of cr*p virgin have on their catchup service yet decent shows like this are ignored

Great return of Moriarty last night, with her own 'Prison'... and her men, out for revenge.

And the Bee's were back too.

Did anybody watch this last night? What did you think?

I was in two minds whether to bother with it. By the end of season 2 I was getting bored with it, but first ep of S3 was ok. The dynamic between Joan and Kitty could be quite interesting.

I watched it last night. The vibe of the programme seems to have changed. Is this because of the off screen tensions between JLM and Lucy Lui? Tbh, I'd rather they binned Lui and concentrated on Kitty, she seems quirky and interesting like Sherlock.

I actually thought that some of the scenes that featured both JLM and Lucy in the apartment looked as if the two actors were being filmed separately on the same set, i.e. the camera was totally on Lucy talking, then totally on JLM replying but not necessarily at the same time. In one shot you could see the back of JLM's head when Lucy was talking but it could have been a stand in. I observed this without realising there were tensions between the two actors but it still struck me as looking odd, I thought perhaps one of them wasn't available for filming. I shall watch more closely but I was quite bored with the first episode of the season.

It's all just rumour but something certainly felt off last night. While not a fan of Lucy, I love this show and JLM so hope things work out.
