Wasn't expecting a Plane Crash investigation for Holmes this week, any week, turned out very good....and the Dad, not turning up...thought it was going to be Alan Dale.
![]() And did the Americans work out what JLM said, when mentioning a Garage. ....they have a funny way, of pronouncing it....and a bit of Yorkshire too. Irene.... ![]() You guys have a funny way of pronouncing garage as well. Sounds like ga-ridge. Ah...gotta love the differences.

"Tell me it's in a Cup"
Did like the Morning routine of Holmes & Watson last night, like a Married couple....
![]() .....Watson digging deeper in to Holmes past too...Letters~Irene....and Bees. Lavatory=Bathroom....if only he said, 'Visit the Little Boys Room'. ![]() Great case too this week, with the Copycat Murders...murder scene very gruesome....plus the Basement.

What gave you the idea that "this" season would be only 11 episodes long? 24 episodes have been ordered for season one.
Other sources say 22 episodes....

No update on imdb, 11 episodes and wikipedia, that says 12.

Other sources say 22 episodes.... CBS had ordered 22 episodes, then they announced they were ordering an additional two, to bring the season one total to 24.

I've enjoyed the series so far, and thought the Leviathan episode was very good.
They handled the reason for Watson to stay on with Sherlock quite deftly I felt (after the constant reminders that she was coming to the end of her current role as Sherlock's sober companion). For me it has become a suitable replacement for House. Looking forward to the rest of the series. |

Great couple of episodes last night, with the Hired Killing, and the Jury Gang....liked how Holmes found the Painting....and for Watson, an Ex {liked Holmes waiting with Watson in the Cafe}....and Family, to deal with and more pink shorts. Plus Holmes does an Ad for a Tablet, ....with snap-on keyboard. ...and the Twins, played by one actress, does she get double pay."No, I am British and this is not tea." |

I only discovered this series tonight & watched a bit tentatively because I love the original conan doyle stories & the bbc modernisation. Am enjoying it for it it is, an entertaining detective show, and pleased that they haven't just done a poor copy of what's gone before. I like JLM in the role & lucy liu. I need to watch from the start though to understand their relationship.

It seems like EVERY show is doing an ad for that thing - saw Abby use it NCIS - think I've seen it in 5 shows so far - Windows must be splashing their ad cash around like there's no tomorrow.

I thought the MS Surface product placement was just too blatant and a bit silly. I guess this is the modern world, huh?
As for Sherlock using Americanisms (or not), I don't know a brit who would use the word "spackle". Don't we all know it as Polyfilla? Funny, the things that jump into my head when watching tv... |

Sherlock is not just a Brit, he is a Brit ex-pat. Brits who have lived in America for a while will use words Americans understand if they want to be understood.
