Missed this first time round so assume season 1 will be rerun to lead into season2?
I'd say there's a chance of that happening

With an Adams Apple still.

Did like how they introduced Ms Hudson.

Great case too with the Robbery-Murder, which lead to the Big Job with the Old Money.

But will we see the Snow Angel again, Pam..

Will Holmes have found Moriarty by then...

Great episode this week with Vinnie Jones....but the Autopsy.

And we are just a few days behind the US now.....but only three episodes to the end of S1.

I thought they were very cute together in that scene. I've come to really enjoy the performances of the two leads.

Brilliant episode last night with the big reveal at the end......helped by Moriarty.
But unlike the US, who have a double bill ending to the season {tomorrow}, we don't, next week.

Watson with her Peanut Butter sandwiches...
Did like the White House.....and Gregson wanting Watson out of Holmes live, for her safety.....interesting.

I didn't enjoy last nights show as much as i thought i would. I didn't like the fact that Holmes wasn't working the case with Watson. It took a lot of the dynamic from the show. I didn't like Irene from the start, but the reveal at the end was a little *shock*.

I tend to agree. It was one of the worst episodes to be honest. I didn't like the big reveal either, it was stupid and totally not in keeping with the lore...

If it was the reveal, would they do it so early in the first season? or is it going to be like the mentalist.

So "early?" It is the end of the season.

I loved that episode, and the reveal. If people really want fidelity to Conan Doyle I don't know why they would watch Elementary, and I don't know why they would watch the BBC's Sherlock either. The two shows are not afraid to make very big changes to the original Sherlock Holmes material.

I meant that would they do a big reveal in the first season, or would they pan it out over the second or maybe third season?

What is it with the British moaning -- elsewhere too -- about the "London" on an American TV show not being the real London? Time and money are not infinite in the TV business, especially for a handful of scenes set in a country an ocean away.

I think they wanted to have Moriarty established and revealed this season, from everything I have read about the producers' intentions. And this is not analogous to the Red John situation with The Mentalist. The hunt for Red John is the only thing that keeps Patrick Jane doing what he is doing with the CBI. In the Sherlock Holmes story, Moriarty is meant to be a nemesis but his identity is not supposed to be a big mystery -- for long anyway.

It did seem to be a change for change's sake, I'm not shocked and appalled however as I stopped expecting it to be a recreation very early on (mostly due to the fact that the mysteries aren't exactly unsolvable by anyone other than Holmes and in fact the wife and I solve them about 5 minutes in ).

As said by others, and myself previously, I watch for the interplay between the two leads which I think is as good as that in the BBCs version. Different, obviously, but as good as. So yes having Watson largely absent was a bit odd.

I am interested in what exactly Moriarties plan was, or whether she was just messing about with Holmes. That said I had an equally difficult time in figuring out Moriarties exact reasoning in Sherlock too.

And to be fair the America you see on American TV is usually Canada.

The same goes for a lot of alien planets you see on American sci-fi shows
