That's soaps for you though- they have peaks and troughs don't they. And everybody loves different storylines (obviously ) and gets nostalgic about certain old scenes
I watched some recently from early 2010 with scenes in Mill Cottage.
It was quite odd watching them because everything was the complete opposite of what's been happening this month. Carl King's ex wife had left him with his two kids for a few months and he was actually being quite a good, responsible father for a change. Chas wanted him to get Jimmy and Nicola to move out, because she wasn't getting on with Nico and was arguing with her all the time. Carl wasn't having any it of it. H e was putting his foot down and was refusing to chuck his brother, sister in law and Angel out, saying it was their home too. And even though they were having a bit of a barney, they were actually a proper couple because it was before the Eve saga.

I agree about the Shane Doyle storyline - I thought that was fantastic. Another one I watched quite recently is the baby Daniel's cot death storyline because I'd never seen it first time around. Charlotte is amazing!
